Okay, so, last night I decided to watch the Yankees game. I mean, who doesn’t love a good baseball game, right? Especially when it’s the Yankees against the Phillies. I’m a die-hard Yankees fan, born and bred in the Bronx, so you know I was pumped.
I got my Aaron Judge jersey on – gotta represent my boy, number 99 – and headed over to a buddy’s place to catch the game. We ordered some pizza, cracked open a few beers, and settled in for what we thought would be a chill night of baseball.
The game was intense. It went into extra innings, back and forth, a real nail-biter. The Yankees pulled through with a 7-6 win, which was awesome. But here’s where things got crazy.
After the game, I saw some videos circulating online, and that’s what I decided to share with you. There’s this one video of a Yankees fan, also in a Judge jersey, getting into it with a Phillies fan outside the stadium. I don’t know what started it, but it looked like the Phillies fan said something, and the Yankees fan just lost it. They started to argue with each other. Then, the guy in the Yankees jersey told that guy to “swing n.” Next, he slapped the Phillies fan right across the face. I mean, he just hauled off and smacked him. The Phillies fan went down hard. It was brutal.
- This happened outside Citizens Bank Park.
- Some reports say it was near Xfinity Live, which is like this big entertainment complex.
- I also read something about two fans getting ejected from Yankee Stadium in another game for messing with Mookie Betts, who plays for the Dodgers. Apparently, they were initially gonna be let back in for Game 5, but then MLB stepped in and said no way.
Here is what I heard:
Honestly, it’s just sad. I mean, I love the Yankees, but this kind of stuff is just messed up. It’s just a game, you know? There’s no reason to get violent like that. It gives all of us Yankees fans a bad name. I just hope the Phillies fan is okay, and I hope the Yankees fan faces some consequences for his actions. It’s just a damn shame.
Anyway, that’s my story. Just wanted to share what I saw and what I found out. Stay safe out there, folks, and remember, it’s just a game.
