This here game, Wuthering Waves, folks say it’s comin’ out real soon. My grandson, he’s all excited, keeps talkin’ ’bout it. Says it’s a big deal, this Wuthering Waves release. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout these games, but he sure is happy.
He says it’s comin’ out May 22nd or 23rd this year, 2024. Says it depends on where you at. That’s what that UTC thing is, I reckon. He tried to explain it, but it went right over my head. Somethin’ ’bout time zones. Like, if you’re over in America, it’s one time, but if you’re over in China, it’s another.
When is Wuthering Waves Gonna Be Here?
He showed me on his phone, all these numbers and letters. Wuthering Waves 1.0, that’s what they’re callin’ it. Like it’s the first one. He says there’s gonna be more, 1.1, 1.4, all them numbers. I told him to keep playing. He can teach me when I got the time. He said the Wuthering Waves release time is different for everybody. Something about servers and time zones. I don’t know how they keep these things straight.
He says this Wuthering Waves game, it’s free. Free! Can you believe that? Back in my day, we had to pay for everything. Even them little games at the fair. Now they just give ’em away on these phones. Times sure have changed.

More Wuthering Waves Stuff Comin’
He says after this first one, 1.0 he called it, there’s gonna be another one, 1.1. He says that one’s comin’ June 28th, 2024. Called “Thaw of Eons”. What a weird name, that is. But he is excited for that one. I asked him if it would be hard, and he told me that it’s not hard, but it is different from the first one.
Then he started talkin’ ’bout another one, 1.4 he said. That one will come in November, November 13, 2024 for some, November 14, 2024 for others. He says folks in America will play it at night, and folks in Asia will play it in the mornin’. Sounds like a lot of information to know, but he is always ready to tell me more.
This Wuthering Waves thing, it’s got somethin’ called servers. He says it’s based on China time. CST, he calls it. Says it’s 8 hours ahead of somethin’ called UTC. He lost me there. But he says a lot of countries in Southeast Asia, like Malaysia, they use that same time.
What’s All the Fuss About This Wuthering Waves?
I asked him why he’s so excited. He said it is a big open world. He says he can run around and explore. Says there’s all sorts of things to do. Fight monsters, find treasures, that sort of thing. Sounds like that game he used to play, that Zelda one. But he says this one’s different. He said the fighting is really fun in this one.
He tried to show me on his phone, but it all looked like a blur to me. Colors flashin’, things movin’ real fast. He was tappin’ away at the screen like his life depended on it. I told him to slow down, he’s gonna break that thing.
He says there’s these things called Resonators. He can collect ’em, he says. And they help him fight. He says there are a lot of them, all different kinds. Each one does a different thing. He told me that there are some that are better than others, and that he is trying to get the best ones. I don’t know, it all sounds very complicated to me.
Is This Wuthering Waves Thing Worth It?
I asked him if this game was any good. He said yes, he said it’s great. He said a lot of people are excited for it. Said all his friends are talking about it, too. Guess it is the hot topic these days. I don’t know about it, but I am glad he is having fun.
He says he’s been waitin’ for this Wuthering Waves release for a long time. Been watchin’ videos about it, readin’ about it. He’s a good boy, that one. Just gets a little carried away with these games sometimes. But it keeps him out of trouble, I suppose.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Wuthering Waves thing. If you got a young’un who’s into these games, they’re probably excited about it, too. Just make sure they don’t spend all day on that phone. There’s a whole world out there, not just the one on that little screen. I told him that he should go outside and play, and he said he would. That made me happy.
