Well, let me tell you somethin’ about them WNBA girls and how tall they are. See, I been watchin’ them play ball on the TV, and it got me thinkin’. How tall are these gals anyway? They ain’t as tall as them NBA fellas, that’s for sure.
Now, I heard folks say the average height for them WNBA players is around 6 feet. Six feet! That’s taller than most of the folks in my family, ‘cept for maybe my cousin Earl, but he’s a whole other story. And you know, some of ’em are even taller than that! Them ones playin’ center or forward, they gotta be able to reach up high, you see. I heard some of them are like 6 foot somethin’.
WNBA Average Height: Them Tall Women
So, yeah, WNBA average height is somethin’ else. They ain’t playin’ around. These gals are tall and strong. They gotta be to play that game, runnin’ up and down the court, jumpin’ and shootin’. They put on a good show, that’s what I always say. They run fast and throw the ball good. I see them on TV all the time. They are good.
I remember hearin’ about this one player, shortest one they ever had. Shortest WNBA player, they called her. Now, I can’t recall her name right off, but they said she was only a little over 5 foot. Five foot somethin’! And she played right alongside them other tall women. That musta been somethin’ to see, her runnin’ around with them giants. She’s gotta be quick on her feet, I reckon. But most of the girls playin’ are much taller than that.

Now, I also heard tell of the tallest one they ever had. Tallest WNBA player ever! Seven foot somethin’! Can you imagine? Seven foot tall! She musta been able to just reach up and drop that ball right in the basket. They said she was from Poland. Imagine that, comin’ all the way from Poland to play ball here. But most of them ain’t that tall. That average height of 6 foot is more like it. They still tall though. I would not want to stand next to them, I would feel so short!
WNBA: Them Draft Picks
And them draft picks, them ones they pick first, they’re even taller, I hear. Average height of them is like 6 foot 1 inch. They pick them tall ones first, I guess. Makes sense, don’t it? You want them tall players on your team. They got a better chance of gettin’ that ball in the hoop. Those ones are the best of the best, they are really good. They always pick the good ones first. That is what I would do if I was picking.
And you know, they got women playin’ from all over the world. International players, they call ’em. They come from all over to play in the WNBA. It’s a big deal, playin’ in the WNBA. They are famous! I reckon the average height of them is about the same. Six feet or so. But they still good. They play good just like the others.
I remember seein’ this one girl on the TV, they said she was the shortest one playin’ right now. Five foot 5 inches! She ain’t much taller than me! And she’s out there playin’ with them other tall gals. She must be somethin’ else, runnin’ around them like that. But like I said, most of ’em are way taller than that. WNBA average height is no joke. They’re tall ladies. And they good at playin’. I like to watch them play.
So, there you have it. Them WNBA players, they’re tall. On average, about 6 feet. Some taller, some shorter, but mostly around that 6-foot mark. They’re good players, all of ’em. It’s fun to watch ’em play. It is a good sport. I like to watch the good sports on the TV. These women play hard. They are tall and strong and play good. They jump high and run fast. That is why they are good. That is what I think about them and their height. I think they are all good. Even the short ones are good. But they are mostly tall. Six feet tall!
