Alright, let’s talk about this 3M Open 2024 golf thingy. I don’t know much ’bout golf, but I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it at the market. So, I figured I’d try and make some sense of it all for ya.
First off, they tell me this 3M Open was played in some place called Blaine, Minnesota. That’s way up north, ain’t it? Must be cold up there sometimes. Anyways, they played at a place called TPC Twin Cities. Sounds fancy.
Now, the big winner, they say his name is Jhonattan Vegas. He got himself a big ol’ pile of money, somethin’ like $1,458,000. Lordy, that’s a lot of scratch! They say he’s won four of these golf tournaments before. Guess he’s pretty good at hittin’ that little white ball.
- They had this thing called a “leaderboard”. It’s like a big list showin’ who’s winnin’ and who ain’t. Kinda like when they judge pies at the county fair, only with golf.
- Folks were followin’ the “action” live. That means they were watchin’ every swing and every putt. Must be excitin’ for them golf nuts.
- They got these things called “scorecards”. That’s how they keep track of who’s doin’ what. Lots of numbers, I tell ya. Confusin’ if you ask me.
They had some other fellas up there at the top too. A fella named Finau, they said he was the favorite to win. Then there was Sam Burns, Sahith Theegala, Akshay Bhatia, and some young fella named Luke Clanton. Lots of fancy names, huh?
3M Open 2024 Leaderboard Highlights – well, I reckon that means the important parts of who won and such.
This whole tournament thing, they had a big pot of money, somethin’ like $8.1 million. That’s enough to buy a whole lotta cows! They split it up amongst the players, with the winner gettin’ the biggest chunk, of course. That Jhonattan Vegas, he sure is lucky.
They say you could watch this golf stuff on somethin’ called ESPN. That’s on that there TV box, right? I don’t watch much TV myself, too busy with chores and whatnot.
They talk about “hole-by-hole coverage.” I guess that means they watched every little bit of the game. Must be borin’, watchin’ them fellas walk around and hit that ball all day. But hey, to each their own, I always say.
So this 3M Open was a big deal, huh? Folks gettin’ rich, people watchin’ on TV, all that jazz. I still don’t understand why they gotta chase a little white ball around a field, but I guess it makes ’em happy.
They were talkin’ ’bout the “course information” too. That’s just the place where they play, right? Like the layout of the land and all that. I guess it matters to them golfers, knowin’ where the hills and the water are and such.
And then there’s this “real-time live scoring.” That means they keep track of the score right then and there, as it happens. Fancy technology, I tell ya. Back in my day, we just kept score on a piece of paper, and that was good enough.
Anyways, that’s what I gathered about this 3M Open 2024. Jhonattan Vegas won, he got a lot of money, and a bunch of other fellas played golf. They had a leaderboard to keep track of it all, and folks watched it on TV. I hope this makes some sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
2024 3M Open Payouts – Like I said, Jhonattan Vegas took home the biggest prize. That’s the way it works in these things, the winner gets the most, then it goes down from there. I hear tell they had a whole bunch of players getting paid somethin’ though, even if they didn’t win. Guess that’s nice of ’em.
They even had somethin’ called “odds” on who would win. Like bettin’ on horses, I reckon. I don’t hold with bettin’, myself. Waste of good money, if you ask me. But those folks in Vegas, they like to gamble, I guess.
So there you have it. My take on this 3M Open golf tournament. I might not know a birdie from a bogey, but I know a winner when I see one. And that Jhonattan Vegas, he’s a winner alright. Now, let’s get back to work, we got chores to do!
