Well now, folks, let me tell ya ’bout Jessica Korda and her husband, Johnny DelPrete. Y’all know Jessica, right? The lady who swings them golf clubs like nobody’s business. Ain’t she something? Well, she done married her fella, Johnny, back in December 2021. Yep, they tied the knot, and it was a big ol’ celebration, with lots of folks from the golf world comin’ together to cheer ‘em on.
Now, Johnny, he ain’t just any ol’ man. He used to play golf himself, back in the day, but now he’s a real estate fella. Works for Nest Seekers, I hear. He’s got a bit of a past too, though, with a bit of a run-in with the law back in 2019, but I ain’t one to gossip. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?
Anyway, after their wedding, they been livin’ it up, and guess what? In August 2023, Jessica went and made an announcement! She was pregnant, folks! And wouldn’t ya know it, they were expectin’ a baby boy. What a joy that musta been for ’em. They shared the news with the world, and of course, all their friends from the golf world came out and gave ‘em a big ol’ congratulatory shout.
But it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows, ya see. Jessica, she had to take a little break from her golf career to get her back in shape. A while back, she had some injuries that needed mendin’. She’s been workin’ on gettin’ better, but still, with that baby comin’, she figured she could take a step back from the LPGA Tour for a spell. Can’t blame her one bit. Family comes first!
Johnny, though, he’s right by her side, supportin’ her every step of the way. Ain’t that what a good husband does? And even though Jessica’s been off the tour for a while, she ain’t forgotten where she comes from. She and her sister, Nelly, had a nice little chat recently on the LPGA Tour’s podcast. They were talkin’ ‘bout their rivalry, both in the past and now. Ain’t that somethin’ to hear!
But we’re all mighty happy for Jessica and Johnny. They’re livin’ their best lives now, with their little boy Greyson John DelPrete. Ain’t that a cute name? You can just imagine how proud they must be. I reckon there’ll be a lot of golf balls gettin’ hit when that boy grows up! Who knows, maybe he’ll follow in his mama’s footsteps or his daddy’s.
Now, some folks might be askin’, “What’s next for Jessica Korda?” Well, I reckon she’s gonna focus on her family for now. She’s still a golf star in our eyes, no matter if she’s playin’ or not. And who knows, once that little boy’s a bit older, she might be back out there, hittin’ those golf balls with a vengeance. We’ll be watchin’ for sure!
But for now, Jessica and Johnny are enjoyin’ their time together, as any new parents would. The world’s full of wonders, and they’ve got one of the greatest gifts of all. A new baby boy to love and raise. Ain’t that somethin’?
