My Hunt for Steelers Cartoon Pics
So, I got this itch the other day. Just suddenly felt like finding some Steelers cartoon pics. No big reason, really. Maybe I saw something about the upcoming season, or remembered they finished 10-7 last time, second in the AFC North. Or maybe I just wanted a break, something fun related to the team.

First thing I did was just hop on my computer. Opened up a search. Typed in the obvious: ‘steelers cartoon pics’. Simple enough, right?
Well, yeah, I got results. A whole bunch. Some were okay, showing the logo drawn in a cartoony style. But a lot was just… generic stuff. Not quite what I had in mind. I wanted something with a bit more personality, maybe funny, maybe just different.
So, I started tweaking my search terms. Tried things like ‘funny steelers cartoons’, ‘steelers mascot cartoon pics’, thinking about Steely McBeam. Then I even tried ‘vintage steelers cartoon art’. I know the team’s been around forever, since way back in 1933 when they were actually the Pirates before becoming the Steelers in 1940. Thought maybe some cool old stuff existed.
This took a bit more time. I was scrolling through pages, clicking on different image results. Saw lots of caricatures of players, some better than others. Found quite a few drawings of the mascot doing silly poses or interacting with other team mascots.
- Found some that looked like old newspaper comics. Really simple lines, basic colors. Kinda cool, had that old-time feel.
- Saw a few that were clearly fan-made. Some really talented folks out there, others… well, enthusiastic maybe.
- Stumbled upon some more abstract designs too, like stylized helmets or footballs with cartoon eyes.
It wasn’t exactly rocket science, finding these pictures. But you definitely have to sift through a lot of the standard logo drawings and photoshopped images to get to the actual cartoon illustrations. Sometimes the search just throws everything at you.

In the end, I managed to find a decent little collection. Saved a few that made me chuckle, a couple of the vintage-looking ones, and one or two good ones of the mascot. It scratched the itch, you know? Just a little digital deep dive looking for some fun artwork of the team. Pretty satisfying little task, finding those specific kinds of pics I was picturing in my head.
