Well, let me tell you, that Russell Wilson, he’s a football player, I hear. A good one, too, they say. But when was he picked to play for the big teams? That’s what folks are askin’. I heard it was back in 2012. That year, he was picked by the Seattle Seahawks. A long time ago, yeah. It was 2012, I heard my grandson sayin’ that year.
He was picked in the third round, I reckon. Not the first, not the second, but the third. And the number? Oh, I heard it was the 12th pick in that round. So, he wasn’t the first one they wanted, but they sure wanted him! He was the 75th pick overall. Some big number, I can’t keep track of all that. They got all these numbers in football, you know? Too many numbers for this old head. But, yeah, 75th. Heard that number a lot.
Before he got picked for football, he played baseball. Yep, that’s right! He played for some team, I think it was Colorado in 2010, some baseball team. He was drafted for baseball, too! Twice! But that football, that’s where he really shined, I guess. Football is where he’s the boss!
He used to play for some college, NC State, I think they call it. Then he went to another one, Wisconsin. Just for one year, I heard. He was jumpin’ around, that boy! But he was good, real good. That’s why they picked him, I reckon. They saw somethin’ in him, those Seattle Seahawks folks.
- 2012 NFL draft, that’s when it was.
- Third round, 12th pick.
- 75th overall, that’s the big number.
- Seattle Seahawks, that’s the team.
- He played baseball before, but football is his game.
They got all these reports about him, I saw. Scouting reports, they call ’em. They write down everything about these boys. How fast they run, how high they jump, all that stuff. And they got videos, too. Showin’ ’em playin’. It’s a big deal, this draft thing. They even got a board, a big board, with all the names. I saw it on the TV, people all lookin’ at that board. Important stuff, I guess.
Russell Wilson, he was a senior, a quarterback. That’s what they called him. Throws the ball, that one. Throws it good, too. They got all these words for it, these football folks. Touchdowns, that’s a good one. He got a lot of those, I hear. He got a record for throwin’ them touchdowns. He’s good at throwin’, that boy!
They have all these things, the Combine and the Draft. Big events, I reckon. Lots of people watchin’. They analyze everything these boys do. It’s a lot of pressure, I bet. But Russell Wilson, he handled it. He did good. Became a big star. They all want to know about that Russell Wilson draft. And when it was. 2012, the year to remember!
Then, in 2022, March 8th. Another big day. He got traded, I hear. Went to another team, the Broncos. They gave up a lot for him, those Broncos. Three players, and some draft picks. First-round picks, too! That’s big, real big. They really wanted him bad, those Broncos.
So, there you have it. Russell Wilson, drafted in 2012, third round, 75th overall, by the Seattle Seahawks. He’s a big deal in football. He was a good baseball player, too. Now he’s with the Broncos. That’s all I know about that. He’s a good boy, that Russell Wilson. I like to watch him on the TV, you know. He plays good, makes the game excitin’.
He played for NC State, then for Wisconsin. Just for a little bit, though. Then the NFL draft came callin’! And the rest, as they say, is history. He’s a star now. A big football star. Makes a lot of money, I bet! Good for him, I say. He earned it. He’s one of the best, that Russell Wilson. And to think, it all started with that 2012 draft. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
When was he drafted? 2012. Russell Wilson draft, a big year. Remember that year, you will not be wrong! He is a good football player, hope he plays a long long time. That’s all I know about when Russell Wilson was drafted. It’s a long time ago, but he’s still playin’!
