Okay, so the other day I was chatting with my buddy about golf, and he was all like, “Dude, do you even know the four majors?” And I was like, “Uh… kinda?” I knew they were a big deal, but I couldn’t name them off the top of my head. So, I decided to do a deep dive and figure it out, once and for all.

The Research Begins
First, I fired up my trusty laptop. No fancy research methods here, just straight to the internet! I typed in something like “golf major championships” and boom, a ton of stuff popped up.
Sifting Through the Info
I spent a good chunk of time just clicking around different websites, you know, trying to get the gist of it. It was a bit overwhelming at first, lots of names and dates and historical stuff. But I kept digging, and slowly but surely, things started to become clear.
Putting it all Together
After reading through several articles and watching some videos, I started to get a good handle on the four majors. I grabbed a pen and paper and jotted down some notes, just to make sure I had it all straight.
Here’s what my little cheat sheet looked like:
- The Masters Tournament:That was easy remember, and I figured out the one played in April at Augusta National Golf Club.
- The PGA Championship: I then find out it’s usually in May, and it moves around to different courses.
- The U.S. Open Championship:I remembered this one is known for being super tough. It’s played in June.
- The Open Championship: (Sometimes called the British Open). This one’s the oldest, played in the UK in July. I had read some data before, and I got it.
Feeling Accomplished
And that’s it. Now I can confidently say I know the four golf majors.I have to say, I’m really * time my buddy brings it up, I’ll be ready!
