Okay, so today I was looking into the match between Coric and Hijikata. I’ve been trying to follow these guys, see how they’re performing, you know? So, I decided to dig in and really compare their recent games.

First, I pulled up their stats. Just basic stuff, like recent wins and losses. Nothing fancy, just wanted to get a feel for their current form. Coric, I noticed, he’s had a few tough matches lately, a bit of a mixed bag. Hijikata, on the other hand, seemed to be on a bit of a roll, picking up some good wins.
Head-to-Head
Then I checked out their head-to-head record. You know, have they played each other before? And if so, who came out on top? Turns out, they haven’t met that many times. It’s not like they have some long-standing rivalry, which makes things a bit more unpredictable, I guess.
Watching the Match
Afterward, I watched the replay of the match on my laptop. And reviewed the highlights of the game. Coric had a good control of the first set and beat Hijikata.
- Coric had more percentage of points won on the 1st serve with 82% (27/33) and Hijikata with 71% (22/31).
- Coric had 6 break points and Hijikata only 1.
However, Hijikata never gave up and had a very good performance in the 2nd set.
Finally, I managed to find some post-match interviews. It’s always interesting to hear what the players themselves have to say, right? Get a little insight into their mindset, their strategy. Coric, from what I gathered, seemed pretty focused, acknowledging his past losses. Hijikata was all about keeping up the momentum, building on his recent successes.

It is really a great game!
