Alright, let me tell you about my trip to the Von Braun Center Gun Show. It was a real experience, let me tell ya.

Planning and Prep:
- First off, I heard about it from a buddy at work. He’s a big gun enthusiast and said it was the place to be. So, I figured, why not?
- I checked the dates online to make sure I had the weekend free. Luckily, I did.
- Made sure I had my driver’s license, you know, just in case.
- Got some cash together. I knew a lot of vendors probably take cards, but cash is king at these things.
The Day Of:
- Woke up early Saturday morning, grabbed some coffee, and hit the road. The Von Braun Center is easy enough to find.
- Parking was a bit of a pain. Lots of people were heading to the same place. Took me a few minutes to find a spot.
- Got inside, paid the entry fee (it was like $10 or $12, something like that), and BOOM, I was in.
The Show Itself:
- Holy moly, it was packed! Wall-to-wall people and tables loaded with guns, ammo, knives, and all sorts of stuff.
- I started just wandering around, trying to take it all in. There were tables selling everything you could imagine.
- Saw some really cool old rifles, some tricked-out ARs, and a ton of handguns.
- Plenty of vendors were selling ammo. Prices were… well, they were gun show prices. Not exactly a bargain, but better than some places I’ve seen.
- I spent a good hour just looking at knives. Some of those custom blades were amazing.
- Talked to a few vendors, asked some questions about different guns. Most of them were pretty knowledgeable and happy to chat.
My Purchases (or Lack Thereof):
- I wasn’t really planning on buying anything specific, just wanted to see what was out there.
- I ended up buying a few boxes of ammo. Figured it was a good idea to stock up a little.
- Almost bought a really nice pocket knife, but I decided to hold off. Maybe next time.
Overall Impression:

- It was definitely an experience. The sheer volume of stuff was overwhelming.
- Worth going if you’re interested in guns, knives, or just want to see a lot of interesting stuff.
- Be prepared for crowds and some inflated prices. But hey, that’s part of the fun.
- I’d probably go again next year. Maybe I’ll be ready to actually buy a new gun then.
So yeah, that was my trip to the Von Braun Center Gun Show. It was loud, crowded, and a little overwhelming, but definitely worth checking out. If you’re into that sort of thing, give it a shot. You might find something you like.
