That Viktor Hovland, he’s a good boy, playing that golf game. He went to that Oklahoma State place, you know. I heard he’s been playing real good, winning things and all. Six times he’s won, they say. He’s from over there, across the big water, Norway, I think it is. Big name now, Viktor.
He was at Oklahoma State University, learnin’ and playin’ golf. Two years, I heard. Must be a good school, that Oklahoma State. They say he learned a lot there. He plays that PGA TOUR now. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They say he’s number 8 in the whole wide world now. Can you believe that? From little old Oklahoma State to the whole world watching him.
This year, 2024, it’s been a little tough, I hear. He ain’t won nothin’ yet. But he got close a couple times. Third place and then second place. Still good, you know? Not winning, but still good. Playing against all them other fellas, it ain’t easy. He won that big one last year, though. The FedEx Cup. Sounds important. I don’t know much about it, but it sounds real important. Big win for that Viktor Hovland from Oklahoma State.

He plays golf all the time, that Viktor. He don’t do that other thing, that LIV Golf. Said it weren’t for him. He’s sticking with the PGA TOUR. Good for him, I say. He got some partners, too. Big names, I reckon. PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions. Sounds like a big deal. That Viktor, he’s a big deal now. That boy from Oklahoma State.
He must practice a lot. You gotta practice to be that good. All that swinging, hitting that little ball. He makes it look easy, but I bet it ain’t. Playing all over the world, too. He’s probably seen a lot of places. More places than I ever will. But he started out at Oklahoma State, so he’s seen some of America. That’s something, ain’t it?
I don’t know all the rules of golf. Seems complicated. But I know you gotta hit that ball in the hole. And you gotta do it less times than the other fellas. Viktor, he’s good at that. He does it less times than most of them. That’s why he wins, I guess. And that’s why he was so good at Oklahoma State, too.
I seen him on the TV sometimes. He looks like a nice young man. Always smiling. Good for him. Making a good living playing a game. Who woulda thought? And to think, he went to school right here in America, at Oklahoma State University. That Oklahoma State must be real proud of him. I bet they are. They should be. He’s doing them proud, that Viktor Hovland.
He’s a big star now, that boy from Oklahoma State. Playing that golf. It will be interestin’ to see what he does next. Maybe he’ll win some more. Maybe he won’t. But he’s done good so far. He is playin’ golf real good. Six wins! That’s a lot of wins. And that FedEx Cup. Sounds like a big deal. He’s a big deal, that Viktor Hovland. That’s for sure. That boy sure can play golf.
Well, I hope he keeps doing good. It’s nice to see someone from Oklahoma State do so well. Makes you proud, even if you don’t know nothin’ about golf. He seems like a good boy. And he sure can hit that little ball a long way. Good for him. Keep at it, Viktor. Keep making Oklahoma State proud. Keep winning them trophies. That’s what we like to see.
