Okay, let’s talk about this “Venus Williams prediction” thing. I’ve been messing around with this for a while now, and I’ve got some stuff to share. No fancy tech jargon, just what I did and what happened.
So, I started by looking around for anything about Venus Williams and predictions. There’s tons of stuff, right? News, opinions, all that. I grabbed some of it, just whatever I could find online, like random news and stories. Not sure what I was looking for, just gathering stuff.
Then, I remembered that I’m using some coding tools, I’ve got this Quizlet thing where I keep flashcards with terms like “binary format” and “CodePlex.” And I started thinking about how I could use those tools to do something interesting.
Trying Different Ideas
First, I tried making simple predictions based on what people were saying about Venus Williams, just random guesses, you know? I played around with some Trap sounds for fun, and also I used SynthMaster One. It has a library with 60 presets. But I failed to make something useful with it, and just made some noise.
- I looked at recent matches – wins, losses, who she played.
- I checked out what “experts” were saying.
- I even looked at what the fans were saying online.
None of it was really working. It was just too random, you know? I started to feel like I was just doing what that Feneon guy did with his news stories – just throwing stuff together and hoping something cool came out of it.
Then I started to think about a different plan. I have read the book Elementary Probability, and I had an idea to use the logic from it. Then I found some data and tried to see if I could find any patterns. Like, does she play better on certain surfaces? Does she win more often against certain types of players?
I also found some information about DNA repair and thought maybe there’s a connection between that and sports performance. It is a dumb idea, right? Like, maybe there’s some science stuff that can predict how athletes will do. I know it sounds crazy, but I was just trying everything.
Getting a Bit Stuck
Honestly, I got pretty stuck at this point. I had all this data, but I didn’t really know what to do with it. I felt like I was just throwing darts at a board, blindfolded.
I started playing around with Squarespace, thinking maybe I could build a website to show my “predictions.” But my coding skills are trash, so that didn’t go anywhere. I had trouble even logging in.
Finally, Something Interesting
After all that messing around, I finally started to see something a little interesting. I realized that I had to focus on specific things, not just general predictions. Like, instead of trying to predict if she’d win a whole tournament, I looked at specific matches and tried to figure out the odds.
Then I found a PDF called Barbarian+Virtues online, and I don’t know why but it gave me an idea. So I used some strategies from it, I tried to find patterns in her past performance and use that to predict her future matches. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than just guessing.
And I started to use GamePoint to play RoyalDice with my friends. It’s a fun way to relax and also helped me think about probability and strategy.
So, that’s where I’m at now. It’s not some magic formula or anything, but it’s a start. I’m still learning, still trying new things. Maybe one day, I’ll actually be able to make some decent predictions. But for now, it’s just a fun project I’m messing around with.
Anyone else trying to do something like this? I’d love to hear what you’re doing and maybe we can share some ideas.
