Okay, so I wanted to mess around with the University of Illinois football team’s depth chart. First, I gotta say, getting a good look at this stuff isn’t always easy, you know? Teams don’t exactly put it out there on a billboard. But, I dug around the internet a bit.
I started by just browsing around some college football news sites. I typed in “University of Illinois football depth chart” and just saw what popped up. I checked like three days ago or so and it was pretty up-to-date. It took some digging, but I found some decent info.
Offensive Lineup
-
Quarterback:
First off, at quarterback, it looks like Luke Altmyer is the main guy. No big surprise there, the dude’s been solid.
I read through a few articles talking about the team’s offense. I jotted down some names of players who seemed to be getting a lot of practice time or were mentioned as likely starters.
Then I went over to some forums and fan sites. I noticed the dates of the posts and made sure they were recent, not like, from last year or something. Those places are a bit of a mess, but you can find some gold if you’re patient. Lots of arguing, though!
After that, I put together a little list of who I thought were the main players and who might be backing them up.
Defensive Lineup
For the defense, it was a little trickier. You don’t get as much info about who’s going to be playing where. Still, I used the same method – checking news, seeing what the fans were saying, and kind of piecing it together.
Honestly, it’s a bit of guesswork involved in this. Coaches change things up, guys get injured, and sometimes a new player just blows everyone away. But I think I got a pretty good idea of what the Illini’s depth chart looks like for this season. It’s not perfect, but hey, it’s better than nothing, right?
