So, I’ve been trying to get my head around this whole “Golf Triple Crown” thing. I’m not a huge golf fanatic, but I like to know what’s what, you know? So I started digging around, trying to figure out exactly what it means.

My Deep Dive into the Triple Crown
First, I jumped onto my computer and started searching. I wanted to know what even qualifies for the Triple Crown. Turns out, it’s not as simple as just winning any three tournaments. There’s some serious history involved.
I learned it’s all about these specific major championships:
- The Masters
- The PGA Championship
- The U.S. Open
- The Open Championship (also known as the British Open)
I realized pretty quickly that winning all of these in a single career is a huge deal. We are talking about some of the greatest golfers.
Then, I went down a rabbit hole, looking up all the players who have actually achieved the career Grand Slam, I was pretty blown away.
I decided to get myself up to watch all four of them this year, I marked my calendar, and made sure not to make any other big plans during the games.

When I watched the games, and saw the performance, I knew that I had to see who won all of them. I found out that only five golfers have ever done it. Legends. Absolute legends.
So, that’s my journey into understanding the Golf Triple Crown. I started knowing practically nothing, and now I feel like I can at least hold my own in a conversation about it. It’s been a fun little learning experience!
