Ah, so ya wanna play that UFC game on PC? Well, let me tell ya, it’s been a bit of a tricky business. You see, these UFC games – they’re popular, oh yes! But they just don’t seem to be coming to our dear ol’ PCs. Now, I know lots of folks got their hopes up, thinkin’ maybe one day they’d be punchin’ and kickin’ in a realistic UFC game right there on their computers. But as of now, them UFC games, like UFC 4 and the latest UFC 5, they’re just on them game consoles like the Xbox and PlayStation.
Why, ya ask? Well, it all comes down to them contracts. Those big ol’ game companies like EA Sports – the one behind the UFC series – they make all sorts of fancy deals with UFC. And those deals, they gotta decide which platforms the game can be on, and, oh, it’s all complicated! If the PC port wasn’t written in the deal, well, that means no UFC game on the PC. Plain as day.
EA Sports UFC 4 came out on consoles, but not a whisper about it for PC. And as for UFC 5? Ain’t no sign it’ll be comin’ to PCs either, at least not yet. Some folks keep sayin’ they’re hopin’ EA will bring it, but that’s just wishful thinkin’, ya know?
- UFC 4 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – Yup, you can play it there just fine. Those who got an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can even access some EA games, but no UFC game is sittin’ on PC for now.
- UFC 5 for Consoles Only – Same deal, all tied up in contracts with no plans for a PC version announced. You can play UFC 5 on them fancy Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation, but for PC, well, we’re outta luck.
Now, what’s makin’ everyone so hooked on playin’ UFC games on PC? Well, PCs these days got some mighty strong setups, better than some consoles, so players think they could get all them fancy graphics, smooth frames, and good controls right there on their desktop. But with no UFC game for PC, folks are stuck huntin’ for other fighting games on PC or some alternatives.
So if ya can’t wait around for EA Sports to change its mind, what can ya do? Well, ya could try some similar fighting games for PC. There’s stuff like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and even WWE games if you’re into the wrestling side. They’re not quite UFC, but they got their own action and thrill, I’ll tell ya that much!
It’s a bit of a shame really, since the technology’s there, and the Frostbite Engine that EA uses for UFC games is top-notch! That’s what gives UFC 5 all them fancy graphics and realistic punches. But only console players get to enjoy that engine’s power, at least for now. So, until EA and UFC decide to bring out a UFC PC version, we just gotta make do with what we got. Ain’t no harm in hopin’, but that’s just the way it is, son.
Some folks say, “Hey, can’t we use one of them emulators or somethin’?” But be careful there. Not only are them emulators a bit risky – they might not even work well for such new games like UFC 4 or UFC 5. Plus, it’s a whole bunch of fuss and mess with downloads and setups that might not even work right. Best to stick with the legit games, if ya ask me.
In the end, looks like for now, UFC on PC is still just a wish. But if enough folks keep askin’ and knockin’ on EA’s door, who knows? Maybe one day we’ll see it. Till then, keep fightin’ in spirit, and we’ll see what comes up down the line!
