Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this fella, Triple H, and his Wrestlemania thing. Folks keep talkin’ about his “record,” like it’s some kinda big deal.
Triple H at Wrestlemania, huh? He wrestled a whole bunch of times there, that’s for sure. I heard tell he was in 23 of them Wrestlemanias. That’s a lot of wrasslin’, even for a young fella, let alone someone like him, all old and beat up now.
- They say he won some, lost some. More losin’ than winnin’, if you ask me.
- Heard he won 10 times, but lost, oh, 13 or maybe even 14 times. See? Not so great after all.
Now, they say he fought all sorts of big names. Undertaker, that scary lookin’ fella, he wrestled him a few times. And that John Cena fella, the one always wearin’ them bright colors, yep, Triple H fought him too. Chris Jericho, another one. And some fella named Batista, big muscles, looked like he could pull a tractor outta the mud.
I remember watchin’ some of them matches on that there TV box. Sometimes Triple H looked good, all strong and powerful, throwin’ folks around. Other times, well, he got his butt kicked. Happens to the best of ’em, I reckon.
They say one time, he won the big championship at Wrestlemania. Against that Chris Jericho fella, I think it was. Became the “Undisputed Champion,” they called him. Sounded fancy, but championships come and go, don’t they? Like the weather, always changin’.
But then, he lost a bunch too. Three Wrestlemanias in a row, he lost the main event. That’s gotta sting, even for a tough guy like him. To Chris Benoit, then to Batista, and then to that Cena fella again. Folks were probably yellin’ at their TVs, “Come on, Triple H, get your act together!”
Undertaker and Triple H, they had a real go at it, a few times. People talk about Undertaker winnin’ all the time at Wrestlemania, but Triple H gave him a run for his money sometimes, I betcha. Still, Undertaker’s got that crazy record, winnin’ like 21 times in a row or somethin’. That’s somethin’ else.
Triple H, he wrestled everywhere, not just at Wrestlemania. WCW, WWE, even some little places nobody ever heard of. He won some, he lost some. That’s the wrasslin’ business, ain’t it? Up and down, like a see-saw.
He was good at puttin’ other guys over, they say. Makin’ ’em look strong, even if he lost. That’s important, I guess. Makes the whole wrasslin’ thing work. But I always liked seein’ a good win, myself. Nothin’ better than seein’ your guy come out on top, even if it ain’t always Triple H.
So, this Wrestlemania record of his? It ain’t the best, and it ain’t the worst. It’s just a record, a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper. What really matters is the fightin’, the sweat, the blood, and the crowd goin’ wild. That’s what makes wrasslin’ fun to watch, even if you don’t always understand what’s goin’ on. And let me tell ya, sometimes I don’t understand a lick of it! All that grapplin’ and showin’ off, sometimes it just looks like a bunch of grown men playin’ around in their underwear.
But hey, they make a good livin’ doin’ it, and folks seem to enjoy it. So, good for them, I say. And good for Triple H too, win or lose. He put on a good show for a long time, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon.
