Okay, so I’ve been thinking about tattoos lately, and one guy who always comes to mind is Rey Mysterio. That dude is covered in ink, and it got me wondering about the stories behind each one. So, I dove into the internet, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a wild goose chase.
First off, I started with the easy stuff, the ones that are pretty obvious. Like, on his left arm, he’s got “1976” tattooed there. Turns out, that’s the year his uncle, who was basically his wrestling mentor, made his debut. Then, I noticed “1995” on his right arm. That one’s for when Rey himself jumped into the wrestling world with ECW. Pretty straightforward, right?

Like, the whole Dominik thing, where Eddie Guerrero claimed to be Dominik’s real dad. Turns out, Rey and his wife were having trouble having kids, so Eddie supposedly left baby Dominik with them. I’m still not sure about all of them, but I did discover that he supposedly has 37 tattoos in total! That’s a lot of ink, man. And he is known as Oscar Gutierrez Rubio, but I prefer to call him Rey Mysterio, which sounds cooler.
