Man, I’ve been having the worst luck with “The Finals” lately. You know, that game everyone’s been talking about? I tried to jump into some ranked matches, and let me tell you, it was a mess.
So, I grouped up with my buddies, ready to climb the ladder. We queued up, and bam! “Matchmaking cancelled.” Just like that. I thought it could be me, but after a bunch of times, I got to try again.
We were all hyped, thinking, “Alright, this is it!” But nope. It kept saying that the matchmaking was cancelled by the lowest-ranked player. We checked our ranks, and they were all pretty close, so I don’t know what was up with that.

Then I went online, trying to figure out if anyone else was having this issue. Turns out, a lot of people were. Some folks were saying that even when they did get into a match, it was super buggy. Like, one person would get in, and the others would be left behind. Crazy, right?
Tried Some Fixes
I did see some advice about checking the game’s server status online. I looked, and yeah, sometimes the servers were down for maintenance. That made sense, but it didn’t explain everything.

We even tried restarting the game, refreshing the menu, all that jazz. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. It was like playing the lottery, but with more frustration and less chance of winning. And all the times, I got “matchmaking cancelled” again and again.
Honestly, it’s a bummer. “The Finals” is a blast when it works, but this matchmaking thing is killing the vibe. Hopefully, the developers will sort it out soon. Until then, I guess I’ll just keep trying and hope for the best. Or maybe play something else, who knows?
