Alright, let’s talk about this Duran thing, whatever they call it. Duran, Dyn-as-ty of Run-ning Wolves. Sounds fancy, huh? Like somethin’ a city slicker would come up with. But lemme tell ya, it ain’t that complicated. It’s all about them follow-up attacks, see?
What’s this Duran stuff anyway?
So, from what I gather, this Duran thing is like… a set, yeah, a set of things you put on your fellas in that space game, Honkai Star Rail, that my grandson plays. It ain’t clothes, mind you, more like… magic charms or somethin’. They call it a “Planar Ornament Set.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d hang on a Christmas tree, but it ain’t.
- It’s called “Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves.” Don’t ask me why wolves are runnin’. Maybe they’re chasin’ rabbits.
- This set makes your fellas stronger when their buddies do extra attacks, what they call “follow-up attacks.”
How does it work, this wolf magic?
Now, here’s the deal. When one of your guys hits an enemy, and then another guy jumps in and hits ‘em again, that’s a follow-up. Simple as that. And with this Duran thing, every time that happens, the fella with the Duran charm gets a little boost. They call it a “Merit” stack. Think of it like gettin’ a gold star for bein’ a good helper.
Merit and More Power
Each one of them “Merit” stars makes your fella’s follow-up attacks hit harder. Five percent harder, they say. And you can get up to five of them stars. So, if you got all five, your follow-ups are a whole twenty-five percent stronger. That’s like hittin’ a nail with a bigger hammer, see? Makes a bigger dent.
Who’s it good for?
Now, some folks say this Duran thing is good for certain fellas. Like that Herta girl and that Himeko woman. They seem to do a lot of follow-up attackin’. But my grandson tells me they ain’t so good when you’re just wanderin’ around, only good when you’re in that “Simulated Universe” thingy. It’s dependable for sure, but only for some special cases. My grandson also mentioned someone called Sigonia. Said they would be good with Duran, too, but she also not good for walking around.
Duran’s Tent… What now?
Then there’s somethin’ about a “Duran’s Tent of Golden Sky.” Sounds like a fancy circus tent to me. Apparently, it belongs to some folks called Borisins, from some place called the Old Verdant Home. They say the Borisins got a “savage name” out there in the cosmos. Sounds like a bunch of troublemakers if you ask me. But I reckon that tent is where they keep this Duran magic, or somethin’ like that. And get this, there’s talk about a “Brood Lord Duran”. Sounds like a big, mean rooster in charge of the whole hen house. Guess he’s the one who started all this wolf runnin’ business.
Is it worth it, this Duran thing?
Well, from what I hear, this Duran set can make your follow-up attacks pack a punch. But it might make your other attacks, like them “ultimate” attacks, a bit weaker. So, it’s a trade-off, see? You gotta decide if you want stronger follow-ups or stronger ultimates. It’s like choosin’ between a good hoe and a good shovel. Both are useful, but for different things. My grandson said it’s 6% more damage for the follow-ups, which sounds good to me. But he also said you lose some damage on the big attacks. Trade-off I guess.
In a Nutshell… or an Acorn
So, to sum it all up, this Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves thing is all about makin’ your follow-up attacks stronger. It’s good for fellas who do a lot of follow-up attackin’, but it might make their other attacks a little weaker. It’s got somethin’ to do with a tent and some wolf-lovin’ folks called Borisins. And there’s a big boss rooster called Brood Lord Duran. That’s about as much as this old woman can make sense of it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go chase them chickens outta my garden.
