Well, let me tell you about this Sean Strickland fella. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout his fightin’ record, so I done some snoopin’ around. Seems like he’s a tough one, that’s for sure. This boy can fight, no doubt about it.
They say he’s number one now. Can you believe it? Number one in that UFC middleweight thingamajig. That’s what they’re sayin’ as of January 23, 2024. Now, I don’t know much about these fancy dates, but I reckon that’s pretty recent. And back in September, well, I guess he was doin’ alright then, too.
Now, this Sean, he’s been in a whole bunch of fights. I seen a list longer than my arm. I seen somethin about February 22, some fight night thing. Bigfoot vs Mir. Sounds like a movie, don’t it? He fought some fella named Santiago, I reckon. And some numbers… 44, 50… maybe how many punches they threw? I don’t know. But it looks like Sean, he won that one. Good for him!
This fightin’ business is somethin’ else. All that punchin’ and kickin’. Back in my day, we settled things with a good ol’ fashioned stare down. Or maybe a pie-baking contest. But these young’uns, they like to brawl.
- He’s a fighter, that Sean.
- Been in lots of fights.
- Won a bunch, I reckon.
I seen some more names on that list. Strickland, that’s him. Then there was a Breese, a Marshman, and an Allen. And a Hermansson, too. Sounds like a whole lotta fightin’ goin’ on. He fought all kinds of these fellas, in all kinds of places.
That Sean Strickland record, it’s somethin’ to behold, I tell ya. He won some, he lost some. That’s how it goes, I suppose. Can’t win ’em all, right? But he sure did try. This one time, he fought a fella named Kamaru. Now, that Kamaru, he was tough. Real tough. Sean lost that one, but he put up a good fight, I hear.
Then there’s this other one, against a fella named Alex. Big fella, they say. Knocked Sean right out. Well, that happens. Even the best of ’em get caught sometimes. It’s like fallin’ off a horse. You gotta get right back up and try again.
And Sean, he did just that. He kept fightin’. He fought that fella, I think his name is Nassourdine. And he won! Good for him. Then he fought another one, a real tough one, called Jared. They went at it for a long time. It was a real close one. It was very long. The folks watchin’ were gettin’ tired. But Sean, he pulled it off. He won that one, too.
Now, I seen somethin’ about a championship. A big, fancy belt, I reckon. Sean, he fought for that belt. Against a fella named Israel. And guess what? He won! Sean Strickland won the championship! Can you believe it? That boy, he’s somethin’ else.
He got a good record, this Sean Strickland. Lots of wins, not too many losses. He’s a tough one, that’s for sure. And now he’s a champion. I guess all that fightin’ paid off.
He lost that belt, though. To some fella named Dricus. I don’t know much about that fight. But I reckon Sean will be back. He’s not one to give up. He’ll be fightin’ again soon, I bet. And he will win again. And again.
- Won the championship.
- Lost it, but he’ll be back.
- He’s a tough one, that Sean.
This whole Sean Strickland record thing, it’s a lot to take in. But I’ll tell ya one thing, that boy can fight. He’s got a lot of wins under his belt. He’s been knocked down, but he always gets back up. He’s a champion, even if he lost the belt for now. And I reckon he’ll be a champion again someday. You just wait and see. That boy is a real fighter, I tell ya. He got a good record. A real good record. He win a lot. He lost some. But he always fight hard. That’s all that matters, I think. He should keep fightin’. I think he can win more.
