Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Scheffler fella. Seems like he’s always in the news, that boy. Scheffler news, that’s what they call it. Always somethin’ happenin’ with him.
First off, they sayin’ he’s changin’ how he putts. Somethin’ ’bout a “claw grip,” they call it. Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout fancy golfin’ terms, but it sounds like he’s holdin’ that stick different. Used to be, he held it like this, I guess demonstrates vaguely with hand, now he’s holdin’ it like that demonstrates differently. Guess it works for him, though. He’s winnin’ all them tournaments. Short putts, long putts, seems like he makes ’em all. Folks are talkin’, sayin’ will he stick with it? Well, I reckon if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
Then there’s all this court business. Lord have mercy, somethin’ ’bout him havin’ to go to court. Said it’s gonna be in June. Don’t rightly know what it’s about, some kind of trouble, I s’pose. Hope he ain’t done nothin’ wrong. He’s a good boy, seems like. Always smilin’ and such. But even good folks get in a pickle sometimes, ya know. Just gotta hope he gets it sorted out. Court date in June, they say. We’ll see what happens.
And then there’s his caddie, Ted. Now that fella, he’s makin’ some serious dough. Millions, they say! Can you believe it? Just carryin’ them golf clubs around. Must be nice. Scheffler wins, Ted gets paid. That’s how it works, I guess. They make a good team, them two. Ted Scott, that’s his name. He’s been with Scheffler a long time, I hear. Loyal fella, I reckon.
- They say Ted made over five million dollars this year! That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life, I tell ya.
- And Scheffler, he won some big tournament, the Hero World Challenge they called it. Got another million for that one. Must be rollin’ in the dough, that boy.
But you know, even with all that money and fame, Scheffler’s a family man. He had a baby boy, Bennett they named him. Said bein’ a daddy is the most important thing to him. That’s how it should be, I always say. Family first, then everything else. He said somethin’ ’bout golf bein’ tough sometimes, and how we all can be hard on ourselves. Sounds like he’s got his head on straight, that boy. Fatherhood changed him, they say. Made him more “mentally” somethin’ or other. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds good.
So yeah, that’s the Scheffler latest. Always somethin’ goin’ on with him. He’s winnin’ tournaments, changin’ his puttin’, goin’ to court, makin’ millions for his caddie, and raisin’ a family. Busy boy, that Scheffler. But he seems like a good one. Humble and hardworking. That’s what I like to see. Keeps his feet on the ground, even with all that success. And that’s important, ya know. Real important.
People are always lookin’ for Scheffler updates. They wanna know what he’s doin’, how he’s playin’, what’s goin’ on in his life. He’s a big deal, that’s for sure. But I reckon he’s just a regular fella, deep down. Just tryin’ to do his best, like the rest of us. And that’s all you can ask for, ain’t it? Just do your best and be a good person. That’s what matters.
