Okay, so I decided to get into sports predictions, specifically tennis. I picked the Rublev vs. Aliassime match because, well, I’ve heard those names before. Sounds like a good place to start, right?

The “Research” Phase (aka Googling)
First things first, I needed to figure out who these guys even were. I mean, I’ve watched tennis on TV, but I’m no expert. So I hit up Google. I searched for stuff like “Rublev recent matches” and “Aliassime playing style”.
I found some stats, win/loss records, and a bunch of articles talking about their strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, a lot of it went over my head. Words like “unforced errors” and “break point conversion” – I kinda get it, but not really.
Making the Prediction (aka Guessing with Style)
After spending, like, 20 minutes reading stuff, I felt… slightly more informed. Maybe 10% more informed. Still, I had to make a prediction, right? That’s the whole point!
It seemed like Rublev was the more consistent player, according to what I read. Aliassime was described as more “explosive” but also prone to making mistakes. So, I decided to go with Rublev. My reasoning was basically, “consistent seems safer than explosive”. Very scientific, I know.
The Waiting Game (aka Refreshing the Score Every 5 Minutes)
Then came the hard part: waiting for the match to actually happen. I found some website that was supposed to have live scores. I kept refreshing it, like, every five minutes. My heart was beating faster every refresh, it was really thrilling.

The Result (aka Did I Win?)
I won’t reveal whether I am win or not. I can only tell you that predicting sports is harder than it looks. It’s a lot of information! It’s clear you have to invest a lot of time! It’s not bad, but it does take time!
