Alright, so lemme tell you about this weekend’s wrestling binge. Decided to finally dive deep into the Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes saga. Heard so much hype, figured I’d see what all the fuss was about.

Started with Royal Rumble 2023. I remember everyone saying this match was huge.
- I fire up Peacock, get to the match. Man, the energy in the arena was insane. You could feel the tension through the screen.
- Cody comes out looking like a proper star. Roman, same old dominant self.
- Match starts slow, builds up nice and steady. Lots of back and forth, some brutal spots.
- Then the interference starts. The Usos, Solo Sikoa… typical Bloodline shenanigans.
- Cody kept fighting, man. Looked like he might actually pull it off.
- But then… Roman hits the spear. 1, 2, 3. Crowd goes silent. I’m sitting here like, “Damn!”
After the Royal Rumble, I went and watched some of the promo packages leading up to WrestleMania 39.
- They really played up the whole “Cody finishing his story” angle. Good stuff, got me invested.
- Roman’s story about being the head of the table, legacy, all that… it’s compelling, even if it’s kinda repetitive.
Next up: WrestleMania 39. The big one.
- The entrances were epic. Cody’s was emotional, Roman’s was grand and intimidating.
- This match was LONG. Like, seriously long. I was starting to get fidgety.
- So much drama. Near falls galore. Both guys looked like they were about to win a dozen times.
- More interference! The Usos, Solo, even Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn got involved after they won the tag titles earlier in the night. It was a proper mess.
- Cody hits the Crossroads multiple times. Crowd is going nuts. I’m on the edge of my seat.
- Then… freakin’ Solo Sikoa interferes again. Hits Cody with the Samoan Spike when the ref is down.
- Roman pins Cody. The crowd just… deflates. Absolute silence.
Aftermath? I was pissed. Not gonna lie. Felt like they robbed Cody. But hey, that’s wrestling, right?
Overall thoughts:

- The matches themselves were good, well-paced, and told a great story.
- The constant interference got a bit much. It made Roman look weak, even though he’s supposed to be this unbeatable force.
- Cody’s got the “it” factor. The crowd loves him, he’s got the look, he can wrestle. He’ll get there eventually.
So, yeah, that was my Roman vs. Cody deep dive. Was it worth the hype? Mostly. I’m invested now. I wanna see Cody finally win the big one. Let’s see where they go from here.
