Okay, so let’s talk about Rickie Fowler’s big win. I remember when this happened, I watched it all unfold.
I started following the tournament from day one. Fowler came out swinging, shooting a 64 in the first round. I thought, “Alright, he’s looking good!” Then he followed it up with a 65 and another 64. I was like, “Whoa, this guy’s on fire!” I got pretty invested at this point. I made sure I was free to watch the final round.
The final round was a real rollercoaster, though. I tuned in, feeling all excited, and he had a bit of a rough start. It wasn’t looking too promising, and my excitement started to fade a little. I kept watching, though, hoping he could turn it around. I remembered people talking about how he needed a big win, how he was always the bridesmaid, never the bride. I really wanted him to pull through.
And you know what? He did! Despite the shaky start, he managed to hold it together and finished at 17-under. I literally jumped off my couch when he sank that final putt. It was such a relief and a great moment. I felt so happy for the guy. I texted all my buddies who follow golf, and we were all celebrating. It was a great day for Fowler and a pretty darn good one for us fans too!
Afterwards, I read some articles about his win and saw some interviews with him. I also checked out some highlights of the key moments. It was cool to relive the excitement and see how much it meant to him. I saved some of those videos on my phone to watch again later. I will never forget that tournament.
