My Retro Roster Hunt
First, I fired up my trusty old browser. I wasn’t sure where to start, honestly. I mean, 2013? That’s a decade ago! My initial thought was just to Google it, plain and simple.
So, I typed in “2013 Utah Jazz roster” and hit enter. The usual suspects popped up – sports websites, you know, the big names. Some of them looked a little…dated, to be honest. Makes sense, I guess.
I clicked on a couple of the top results. I found some basic lists, player names, jersey numbers, the usual. But I wanted something a little more…complete. Like, with positions, maybe some stats if I was lucky.
I spent a good chunk of time just clicking through different pages. Some had partial rosters, some had rosters that looked like they were copy-pasted from somewhere else. It was a bit of a mess, honestly.
I remembered there are these dedicated sports stats sites. I tried one of those, and it was a bit better. More organized, for sure. I started to piece together a more complete picture.
