Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle thing. You know, from back in the day in wrestling? Man, what a rabbit hole that turned out to be. I started off just wanting to watch some of their old matches, you know, for the nostalgia.
First, I scoured the internet for any mention of their matches. I ended up watching a bunch of clips, but wanted something more comprehensive. So, I started looking for full matches, you know, the whole nine yards. Then, I decided to not just watch the matches, but to really break them down, you know?
My Breakdown Process
- Watched each match without taking notes first. Just to get a feel.
- Then I re-watched and jotted down every big move, every near fall.
- Looked for patterns. Did they favor certain moves against each other?
- Tried to get into the psychology of it. What were they thinking?
It was a lot of work, pausing, rewinding, scribbling notes like a madman. My wife thought I was losing it, honestly. But I was determined to figure out what made these two guys click so well in the ring. What made these matches so good?
After all that watching and analyzing, I finally put all my notes together. It was a mess at first, but I managed to organize it into something that made sense. And you know what? I think I actually learned a thing or two about wrestling. You should see it! Or you know what? You should also try to do this yourself. It’s so interesting!
