Okay, so I saw this thing online about Raul Rosas Jr.’s chin, and I was like, “What’s the big deal?” I mean, I’ve seen him fight, he’s tough, but I didn’t really pay attention to his chin specifically. So, I decided to do a little digging and see what all the fuss was about.

First, I watched a bunch of his fights. I started with his Contender Series fight, then his UFC debut, and a few others I could find. I was specifically looking at how he reacted when he got hit. Did he wobble? Did he go down easy? Stuff like that.
Next, I looked up some articles and forum discussions. I wanted to see what other people were saying. Was it just me, or was there something actually noticeable about his chin’s durability (or lack thereof)?
- Some people were saying his chin was “suspect” or “glassy.”
- Others defended him, saying he was young and still developing.
- Some pointed out that he had been dropped in the contender serise.
After that, I kind of went back and re-watched those key moments in the fights where he took big shots. I slowed it down, zoomed in, all that stuff. Trying to get a really good look at what happened.
My Conclusion (So Far)
Honestly, it’s still kind of up in the air. He has been hit hard, and sometimes he does look a little shaky. But, he’s also young, and fighters definitely get better at taking punches as they train and get more experience. It is a valid area to keep an eye on. I am not sure if his chin will hold up, but will keep an eye on it, as the kid has potential.
