Predicting the Clippers Starting Lineup for the Next Game

Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about them Clippers, you know, the basketball team? Yeah, them fellas. We gonna figure out who’s gonna be startin’ the games, the “starting lineup” they call it. Fancy words for who gets to play first, I reckon.

Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch the games sometimes when the chores are done and the chickens are fed. But even I can see who’s good and who ain’t. So, let’s see… who we got on this Clippers team?

First off, they got that Kawhi Leonard fella. He’s a quiet one, but boy, can he play! He’s like a sneaky fox, always gettin’ the ball in the hoop. He’s gotta be startin’, no doubt about it. He’s their main man, the one they rely on to score them points. So yeah, Kawhi, he’s in. That’s for sure.

Then there’s Paul George. Another good one, though sometimes he disappears a bit, you know? Like he’s there, then he ain’t. But when he’s on, he’s really on. He can shoot them balls from far away, swish, just like that. So yeah, I guess he’ll be startin’ too. They paid him a whole lotta money, so he better be startin’!

Now, here’s where it gets tricky. They got a bunch of other fellas, and I can’t always keep ’em straight. There’s that James Harden fella. He’s new, just came over. He’s got that big ol’ beard, looks like he could hide a squirrel in there. He’s good at passin’ the ball, they say. And he can score too, when he wants to. But sometimes he just holds the ball too much, if you ask me. But I reckon they didn’t bring him here to sit on the bench. He’s probably gonna be startin’ too, tryna figure out how to play with Kawhi and Paul George.

So we got Kawhi.
We got Paul George.
And we got Harden.

That’s three fellas already. See, I’m good at this countin’ thing. Learned it from countin’ eggs, you know.

Now, for the other two spots… it gets kinda fuzzy. They got that Ivica Zubac fella, the big ol’ center. He’s tall, like a beanpole, but strong too. He grabs them rebounds, you know, when the ball bounces off the hoop. He’s important for that. He probably gonna start because who else gonna grab them balls under the basket, right? So yeah, Zubac, he’s in. He’s their big man, gotta have one of those.

Then there’s the guard spot left. They got a few fellas who could play there. There’s Terance Mann, he runs around a lot, always hustlin’. He’s like a little energizer bunny. They also got Russell Westbrook. He’s fast, real fast, like a jackrabbit. But sometimes he makes mistakes, throws the ball away. It’s a tough choice, who to put in there. But I’m gonna guess they start Mann. He’s younger and they gotta give them young fellas a chance, I reckon.

So, if you ask me, and nobody did, but I’m tellin’ you anyway, the Clippers starting lineup gonna be somethin’ like this: Kawhi, Paul George, Harden, Zubac, and Mann. That’s a pretty good team, I think. They got shooters, they got a big man, they got fellas who can run and pass. They should win some games, I hope. It’s more fun to watch when they win, you know? Losing is just plain depressin’. Makes me wanna go back to feedin’ the chickens.

But basketball is just a game, ain’t it? Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Just like life, I guess. One day you got a good crop of tomatoes, the next day the bugs eat ‘em all up. You just gotta keep on goin’, keep on tryin’. And that’s what them Clippers gonna do, I bet. They’ll keep on tryin’ to win them games, and we’ll keep on watchin’ ‘em, when we ain’t got nothin’ better to do. And hope they can beat them Celtics or whoever else they playin’. I hear them Celtics are pretty good too.

So there you have it, my take on the Clippers starting lineup. Don’t take it to the bank, mind you. I’m just an old woman who likes to watch a bit of basketball now and then. But I think I got a pretty good handle on things. We’ll see when the games start, I guess. And if I’m wrong, well, nobody ever accused me of bein’ a genius anyway.
