Alright, so today I decided to dive into the world of “Manchester City FIFA,” and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started by firing up my console, you know, the usual routine.

Getting Started
First things first, I had to pick my game mode. I went with Career Mode because, honestly, who doesn’t love building a team from the ground up? After the initial cutscenes, I chose Manchester City for the team.
- Selected “Career Mode”
- Picked “Manchester City”
Initial Setup
Next up, I had to tweak the settings. I’m a bit of a stickler for realism, so I bumped up the difficulty to “Legendary.” I also adjusted the half length to 6 minutes to keep the games from dragging on forever. I had to decide my currency, I chose to stay on the default setting.
- Difficulty: Legendary
- Half Length: 6 minutes
Team Management
Now for the fun part – team management! I spent a good chunk of time tinkering with the lineup. Made sure to put all my star players in their best positions. Checked out the player ratings and decided on a solid 4-3-3 formation, focusing on speed and attack.
I also looked at the transfer market, thinking of future signings, I even put out some scouts to find fresh talent, focusing on young players with high potential. I think getting a few wonderkids is always a good idea.
- Formation: 4-3-3
- Strategy: Focus on speed and attack
- Scouting: Looking for young players with high potential
Playing the Matches
Then came the actual matches. Boy, oh boy, playing on Legendary is no joke! The AI was super aggressive, and I had to really focus on my passing and defense. I started by joining a pre-season tournament.

First match, I scraped by with a 2-1 win, thanks to a late goal from Haaland. Second match, got a bit cocky and tried some fancy plays, ended up with a 2-2 draw. I had to change things up in the last match in order to advance to the next round. The third match of the tournament I really had to focus and try to defend the opponents, which led to another 2-1 win for my first three games.
I love the feeling of scoring a screamer from outside the box. And it’s always a nail-biter when the opponent is pressing hard in the final minutes.
Reflections
After a few hours, I decided to take a break. Managing Manchester City in FIFA is a blast, but it definitely takes some strategy and patience. You can’t just run and gun; you gotta think about your moves, both on and off the field.
It’s cool to see how the team evolves over time, especially when you bring in new players and develop young talent. And hey, winning the league is always the ultimate goal, right?
Overall, a pretty fun and engaging experience. If you’re a football fan, you should definitely give it a shot!
