Okay, so check it, yesterday was rough. I was doing some light sparring, you know, just keeping things loose, and then BAM! Pereira foot injury happened. Didn’t even see it coming.

It was during a low kick drill. I was throwing a kick, and he checked it harder than I expected. I felt this sharp pain in my foot right away. I tried to walk it off, thinking it was just a stinger, but nah, it wasn’t getting better.
First thing I did was ice it, like, immediately. I had a bag of frozen peas handy, so I wrapped that sucker up and elevated my foot. I kept it iced for a good 20 minutes, on and off. That helped a little with the initial throbbing.
Then, I took some ibuprofen to try and knock down the inflammation. Gotta be careful with that stuff, but the pain was pretty intense. I’m no doctor, but I figured some anti-inflammatory would be a good move.
Next step was compression. I wrapped my foot pretty tight with an ace bandage. Not too tight, you don’t want to cut off circulation, but snug enough to provide some support. I kept that on overnight.
Today, it’s still pretty sore. I can put weight on it, but it’s not comfortable. I’m walking with a bit of a limp. So, I decided to take it easy. No training today, just resting and icing. I’m also keeping it elevated as much as possible.

I’m thinking if it’s not better in a couple of days, I’ll get it checked out by a doctor or physical therapist. Don’t want to mess around with foot injuries, you know? They can linger if you don’t take care of them properly.
So, that’s the story. Pereira foot injury sucks, but I’m trying to stay positive and take the right steps to recover quickly. Hopefully, I’ll be back in the gym soon. Will keep you all updated on my progress!
