This here OTC WWE thing, it’s a big deal, ain’t it? I hear all the young folks talking ’bout it. Wrestling, they call it. Back in my day, we just called it roughhousing. But this here, it’s on the TV and everything.
I seen this fella, Roman Reigns, he’s a big shot, I reckon. He’s on that SmackDown show, always winning and such. He was gone for a while, but he is back now. They even gave him a new nickname and sold shirts with “OTC” on them. He must be real popular to have his own shirt and nickname, huh?
And they got all kinds of clothes, these WWE people. You can buy shirts and hats and I don’t know what all. They say it’s clearance, which I guess means it’s cheap. You can get a good deal on this stuff, if you like this WWE. They got doorbuster sales too. That’s what they called it. It sounds like people gonna be breaking down doors to get these WWE clothes. Lordy.
They even got this thing, WWE Network, where you can watch all this wrestling stuff. It’s like a whole channel just for wrestling. They say it’s in a bunch of countries, like 165. I only know couple countries. Can’t imagine watching wrestling all day. But I guess some folks like it. They say this WWE is like a TV show, with stories and people you follow. They got millions of folks watchin it, like, 2 million people, ain’t that somethin’?
Now, this here WWE, it used to be called something else. WWF, I think it was. Stands for World Wrestling Federation. That’s what they used to call it, way back when. They started this whole thing a long, long time ago, in 1952 I heard it. Back then, it was just a little thing. Now it’s huge, all over the world.
They got this WWE Network thing, sounds fancy. They say it’s got all the big wrestling matches, like a premium thing. And they got it on this Peacock thing. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like a bird. Must be one of them newfangled things. I guess it is only in the US, so I can’t watch it if I want to.
This whole thing started with a couple of fellas, back in 1953, I think. Jess McMahon and Toots Mondt, I think them’s their names. They called it CWC. Then they joined up with some other group, NWA. It’s all a bunch of letters, ain’t it?
Well, I guess this OTC WWE is here to stay. Lots of folks like it. Even if it’s just a bunch of fellas jumpin’ around in their underpants, if you ask me. But I guess it’s more than that to some folks.
- WWE is a big deal.
- Roman Reigns is a big star.
- You can buy WWE clothes on clearance.
- WWE Network has all the wrestling you could want.
- OTC means something. I don’t know what it is. But they put it on Roman Reigns‘s T-shirt.
I remember when wrestling was just somethin’ the boys did in the backyard. Now it’s all fancy, on TV, with names and clothes and everything. It is called OTC WWE now. This Roman Reigns is somethin’ else. This world sure has changed a lot. They even trademarked new names. I heard they did it on October 5th. I don’t know what trademark is. But it must be important.
I still don’t understand why they call it OTC. But I guess it don’t matter. As long as them boys are having fun, and nobody’s getting hurt too bad. And people like to buy those WWE clothes. That’s all that matters, I reckon. These young people and their WWE. I guess it’s alright. Just a lot of fuss over some wrasslin’, if you ask me.
