That Nyny Davis, she a singer, I hear. Sings them songs, you know. Like them young folks do. I heard one the other day, kinda catchy. Reminds me of them old songs, from back when, you know? Back in the two-thousands, they call it. Not like the stuff my old man used to listen to. That was all scratchy records and such. This Nyny, she got that new sound. Even I can tap my foot to it a little.
Heard she was in some moving picture show, too. Called “Community” or something like that. Never seen it myself, got no time for that kinda thing. Too busy tendin’ to my garden. Tomatoes ain’t gonna grow themselves, you see. But my neighbor, she watches it all the time. Says Nyny Davis is real funny. Makes her laugh till her sides hurt. That’s good, I guess. Laughter is good for the soul, that’s what they say.
My neighbor, she’s always on about these moving pictures, these…actors, they call them. This Nyny Davis, she married one of ’em, I hear. Anthony Davis, that’s the name. Good lookin’ fella, from what I hear. They say he’s the one for her. Well, good for them. It’s hard findin’ a good man these days, harder than findin’ a needle in a haystack, I tell ya. Hope they make it, them two. Marriage ain’t easy, that’s for sure. Takes work, like weedin’ a garden. Gotta pull out the bad stuff to let the good stuff grow.
I don’t know much about them “x-rated” films. Don’t want to know, neither. Sounds like somethin’ you wouldn’t want your grandkids seein’. But, hey, each to their own, I suppose. World’s a crazy place these days. People doin’ all sorts of things. In my day, we just worried about gettin’ the crops in before the first frost. Now they got all these… moving pictures and such, all kinds of things to watch.
Then there’s that Jake Paul fella. Boxing, they call it. Beatin’ up on people for money. Don’t seem right to me. But my grandson, he loves it. Says Jake Paul is the best. Won some big fight the other day, against some old fella named Mike Tyson. Heard that name before, I think. My old man used to talk about him. Said he was a real mean one, back in the day.
But this Jake Paul, he’s got himself a pretty little girlfriend, I hear. Jutta somethin’. She was there at the fight, all dressed up. Stole the show, they say. Well, good for her. It’s nice to see a pretty face every now and then. Even an old lady like me can appreciate that.
Nyny Davis, Jake Paul, Jutta… all these names. Hard to keep track of ’em all. World’s movin’ too fast, if you ask me. But I guess that’s just how it is. Young folks got their own way of doin’ things. We just gotta sit back and watch, I suppose.
My neighbor, she’s always tellin’ me about these things. She reads it all on that little computer thing she’s got. Says it’s all on the “internet.” Don’t know what that is, but it sure seems to have a lot of information on it. Too much, if you ask me. But she likes it. Says it keeps her connected to the world.
- That Nyny Davis, she sure can sing.
- Heard she got married to that Anthony Davis fella.
- Don’t know nothin’ about them “x-rated” films.
- That Jake Paul, he’s a boxer, I hear.
- His girlfriend, Jutta, she’s a pretty one.
Well, I gotta get back to my garden. Weeds are callin’. And these tomatoes ain’t gonna can themselves. Nyny Davis and her singin’, that Jake Paul and his fightin’… it’s all just noise to me. Give me the peace and quiet of my garden any day. That’s where the real magic happens, watchin’ things grow. Just like life, I suppose. You plant a seed, you tend to it, and if you’re lucky, somethin’ beautiful comes out of it. Just hope this Nyny Davis finds her happiness, that’s all. Same for that Jake Paul and his girl. It’s a tough world out there. Gotta find your little patch of sunshine where you can.
This Nyny Davis got a good voice, though, I’ll give her that. Catchy tunes. Maybe I’ll ask my neighbor to play me some more of her songs sometime. While I’m shellin’ peas, maybe. Makes the time go by faster. Yep, that Nyny Davis, she’s alright, I guess. For a singer, that is. Now, where’d I put my garden gloves…?
They say this Nyny Davis makes people happy with her songs. That’s a good thing. World needs more happiness. Too much sadness these days. People need somethin’ to make ’em smile. Like a good rain after a long drought. Makes everything feel fresh and new again. Yep, that’s what we need. More singin’, more laughin’. That’s the ticket. Maybe I’ll start singin’ myself. Might scare the crows away from my corn, at least.
