Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into baseball lately. Not like, joining a team or anything, but just hitting up the batting cages, throwing a ball around, you know, casual stuff. I’ve always thought baseball players look cool, so I figured, why not try to look the part, even if I’m not a pro?

So, the first thing I did was look up “new balance baseball apparel.” I know New Balance is a big name in shoes, but I wasn’t sure what they had for baseball. Turns out, they’ve got a whole line of stuff!
Shoes First, Right?
I started with the shoes because, well, that’s what New Balance is famous for. I saw they had these FuelCell and Fresh Foam models. Honestly, I didn’t know the difference, but the FuelCell ones looked a little more intense, so I figured those were for serious players. The Fresh Foam ones looked comfy, so I leaned towards those.
I ended up browsing through their selection on some sports website. They had the Fresh Foam X and Fresh Foam 3000, and they were like, $104.99 and $89.99. I thought, “That’s not too bad for some decent cleats.” They also had these FuelCell 4040 V6 and V7 that were more expensive. I don’t need anything too fancy, so I decided to add the Fresh Foam 3000 to my cart.
Gotta Get Some Clothes Too
Now, you can’t just wear any old t-shirt to the batting cages. I mean, you could, but where’s the fun in that? New Balance had some cool-looking shirts. They had these “Asym Baseball Top” things for like, 50 bucks, and some graphic tees for around $30. There was also a pullover for only $16.99, which seemed like a steal.
I ended up grabbing a couple of the graphic tees, because they seemed like they could handle some sweat. And let’s be real, I’m gonna be sweating. I’m not exactly in prime baseball shape.

What Else Do I Need?
I did see they had these things called “team rally polos” and “quarter zips.” I guess those are for actual teams, or maybe for coaches? I’m not sure. They also had “performance tees” and “baseball pants.” I figured regular sweatpants would be fine for me, at least for now.
So, yeah, that’s my New Balance baseball apparel haul. I got some comfy-looking cleats and a couple of shirts that should make me feel like I know what I’m doing, even if I don’t. Now all I need to do is actually go out there and try to hit a ball. Wish me luck!
