Alright, so I had some time today and was thinking about NC State football. You know how it is, season’s always on the mind, or maybe just heard some chatter. Decided I should really sit down and look up their current depth chart.

So, I went over to my computer, opened it up. First thing, I just typed into the search bar, something simple like ‘north carolina state football depth chart’. You get a bunch of stuff popping up, right? News sites, fan forums, the official team page sometimes.
I tend to avoid the forums first, too much guessing sometimes. Tried to find something looking official or from a big sports news source. Clicked on one that seemed promising, looked like it was updated recently. Sometimes you gotta sift through a couple before you find one that looks legit and current, you know?
Checking Out the Lineup
Okay, so I pulled it up. Started with the offense, naturally. Who’s under center? Always the big question. Saw the starter listed, then the backup. Good to know who they have lined up there.
- Scanned the O-line names. Gotta see who’s protecting the passer. Important stuff.
- Looked at the running backs, see who’s expected to carry the load this week or season.
- Checked the receivers too, the main targets.
Then I flipped over to the defensive side. Looked through the D-line, the linebackers, secondary. Seeing who the starters are, any surprises, any young guys listed maybe getting a shot. You look for familiar names and maybe some new ones stepping into bigger roles.
It’s never set in stone, obviously. Guys get hurt, coaches make changes based on practice, matchups change things week to week. But doing this, just taking ten, fifteen minutes to look over the two-deep, it helps you get a feel for the team heading into the next game or just for the season in general. It’s just part of following the team, you know? That was my quick look at the Wolfpack depth chart for today, just getting myself updated.
