Okay, so I wanted to figure out when Honkai Star Rail actually came out. Heard a lot about it, saw some cool stuff, and got curious about the launch day.

My Search Process
First thing I did, obviously, was just type it into a search engine. Something simple like “honkai star rail release date”.
Got a bunch of results back, naturally. Some articles, some videos. Had to sift through them a bit.
- Saw some dates mentioned, but wasn’t sure if they were for beta tests or regional launches.
- Found discussions on forums where people were guessing or talking about pre-registration.
- It felt a little messy at first, trying to pin down the actual global launch.
So, I refined my search. Tried things like “honkai star rail official global launch date”. That helped narrow it down.
Checking Official Channels
I figured the best bet was to look for what the developers, miHoYo (or HoYoverse, whatever they call themselves now), actually announced. I poked around trying to find their official game page or news updates section. Didn’t want to rely on second-hand info if I could help it.

Spent a bit of time clicking through different sections on what looked like their main sites. Looked for press releases or announcement posts specifically about the release.
Finding the Date
Finally, I landed on the solid info. It seemed consistent across the official-looking places and reliable news outlets.
The date I kept seeing confirmed was April 26, 2023.
So yeah, that was the day it officially launched worldwide on PC, iOS, and Android. The PlayStation version came later, I think sometime in October 2023, but the main initial release was definitely that April date.
Took a little digging, more than just a single quick search, to feel confident I had the right date and not some beta period or something else. But got there in the end. Just wanted to share how I tracked it down. Simple process, really, just needed a bit of patience to filter the noise.
