Okay, so today I wanted to share my experience with the Elle Brooke Car Park. Let me tell you, it wasn’t what I expected.
I headed out early this morning, aiming to get a good spot. The weather was pretty decent, a bit cloudy but nothing too serious. Drove over to the car park, and that’s where things started to get interesting.
First Impressions
- Pulled into the entrance and was immediately confused. There were signs everywhere, but they were kind of all over the place.
- Found a spot after circling for about 10 minutes. It wasn’t the best, a bit tight, but it would do.
- Got out of the car and noticed the payment machines. Looked a bit old, to be honest.
The Process
Walked over to the machine, and tried to figure out how it worked. It took a few tries, I must admit. The buttons were a bit sticky, and the screen was hard to read in the sunlight. Finally managed to pay for a few hours, hoping that would be enough.
Went about my business, did what I needed to do, and came back to the car park within the time I’d paid for. But here’s where it got a bit annoying.
The Exit
- Got back to my car, no problem there. Started it up, ready to go.
- Approached the exit barrier and realized I needed a ticket to get out. But I didn’t get a ticket when I paid.
- Looked around, confused. Another driver seemed to have the same issue. We were both stuck.
The Resolution
Spotted a help button near the barrier and pressed it. After a few rings, someone answered. Explained the situation, and they remotely opened the barrier for me. It was a relief, but also kind of a hassle.
Drove out, glad to be on my way. Overall, the Elle Brooke Car Park was a bit of a mixed bag. It’s in a good location, but the whole payment and exit process could be a lot smoother. If you’re planning to use it, maybe give yourself some extra time and be prepared for a bit of confusion.
