Okay, so I was playing Monopoly GO, and I heard they have this new thing going on, the “Anniversary Auction.” It’s like their birthday party in the game, and they’re giving out some stuff. I figured, why not, let’s see what this is all about.
First off, I logged into the game. The event started on April 28th, at 11 AM, just like I read somewhere. So, I made sure I was on time. I opened a customer support ticket and typed “Monopoliversary”, and then they sent me my Monopoliversary date. It’s so cool!
Now, the way this Anniversary Auction works is you gotta earn points. You do that by playing the game as usual, landing on certain tiles and doing different tasks. It’s pretty much like other events they’ve had before. The more I played, the more points I got.
Here’s a breakdown of what I did:
- Logged in: Just by logging into the game during the event, I got some points. Easy peasy.
- Landed on properties: Every time I landed on a property, I earned points. If I owned the property, even better, more points for me.
- Collected rent: This one’s a classic. When other players landed on my properties, I collected rent, which also gave me points.
- Built houses and hotels: Building stuff on my properties got me a good chunk of points. The more I built, the more points I racked up.
- Completed tasks: There were some special tasks during the event, like passing “GO” a certain number of times or landing on specific tiles. I tried to complete as many as I could to maximize my points. I even got the Title Deed from the Banker as proof of ownership.
As I earned points, I started hitting these milestones. Each milestone unlocked some rewards. It was actually pretty cool to see the progress bar fill up and get something new every now and then.
The Rewards
The rewards were a mix of things. I got some in-game cash, which is always useful. Then there were these sticker packs. I’m not super into collecting stickers, but hey, free stuff is free stuff. I guess some people are really into those, so it’s a nice bonus for them.
Honestly, the best part for me was just the extra motivation to play. I mean, I like Monopoly GO, but having this event with specific goals and rewards made it more exciting. It felt like there was more purpose to each roll of the dice.
The event runs until May 1st, so there’s still some time to get in on the action. If you’re playing Monopoly GO, I’d say it’s worth checking out. It’s not a huge deal or anything, but it’s a fun little addition to the game. And who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky and snag some cool rewards. It’s all in good fun, and a nice way to celebrate the game’s anniversary, I guess.
Oh, and one last thing, I noticed they had some Monopoly board games for sale, too. Like the physical ones. I already have one, but if you don’t, it might be a good time to grab one. They’re rated pretty high, 4.9 stars, or something like that. Pretty neat!
So yeah, that’s my experience with the Monopoly GO Anniversary Auction. It’s not life-changing, but it’s a good time. And now I just want to keep playing and see how many more milestones I can hit before it ends. Maybe I’ll finally complete that sticker album. Haha, who knows.
