Okay, so, I decided to jump into the “moba tournament 2023” thing. I’ve always been kinda into these games, but never really competed, you know? So this was my big shot, or at least that’s what I told myself.

Getting Started
First thing I did was find some teammates. I hit up some friends, some guys I play with regularly. We weren’t like, pro-level or anything, but we knew how to play. We formed, using the clever and creative name of “Team Awesome”. Yeah, I know, super original.
- Recruited team members.
- Named our team, “Team Awesome.”
Practice Makes…Well, Better
Next, we actually had to, like, practice. We couldn’t just show up and expect to win. We set up some times to play together, figure out who was good at what role, try out different strategies. It was a mess at first, lots of yelling and blaming. Totally normal, right?
We spent hours running drills. Like, seriously, hours. Figuring out the best way to gank, how to push lanes, when to back off. We watched some pro games, tried to copy what they were doing. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it totally blew up in our faces.
- Scheduled practice sessions.
- Assigned roles based on skills.
- Studied pro gameplay.
- Experimented with strategies.
Tournament Time!
Finally, the day came. We were nervous, I’m not gonna lie. First match, we were up against a team that looked way more serious than us. They had matching outfits, fancy names…intimidating.
We lost. Badly.
I mean it’s no fun losing, that’s for sure.
But we learned a lot. We saw what we did wrong, talked about it, tried to fix it for the next match. We played a few more rounds, won some, lost some. It was a rollercoaster.
We learned, we got better, and we actually did win a couple.

The End Result
We didn’t win the whole thing, not even close. But, we did better than we expected! We made it past the first few rounds, which felt like a huge accomplishment. The whole thing was a blast.
The whole experience taught me a bunch, not just about the game, but about working as a team, dealing with pressure, and just, you know, having fun even when things get tough. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Maybe next year we’ll actually win the whole dang thing!
- Learned from our mistakes.
- Improved teamwork.
- Had fun!
