Yo, what’s up, everyone? I’m back with another gaming experience, and today we’re diving deep into MLB The Show 23, specifically those Alter Ego packs. Man, these packs are something else. So, I’ve been grinding on this game for a while now, and I finally got around to messing with these Alter Ego packs. Let me tell you, it was a journey.
First off, I had to figure out where to even find these things. Turns out, you gotta hit up the Pack Market in the game. I spent a good chunk of time just navigating menus, feeling like a total noob. Eventually, I found them, hiding in plain sight. Who knew?
Once I found the Pack Market, I saw there were different tiers for these Alter Ego packs. We got the Base tier, which has some pretty sweet 97 overall diamond players. I mean, 97 overall? That’s nothing to scoff at. Then there’s the Rare tier, and these bad boys boast three 99 overall diamond players. 99! That’s top-tier stuff right there.
So I went ahead and grabbed a Base tier pack first. I was hoping to pull a decent card, you know, something to boost my team. The suspense was real, I ripped open the pack, and boom, I got a choice of five 97 overall diamond players. I spent a good few minutes just staring at the screen, weighing my options. I finally decided on one, and it was a solid addition to my squad. Not bad, not bad at all.
But then I started thinking about those 99 overall players in the Rare tier. I mean, who wouldn’t want a 99 overall player, right? So I saved up, did some more grinding, completed some challenges, and finally got enough to snag a Rare tier pack. Let me tell you, the anticipation was killing me. I opened the pack and BAM! Three 99 overall diamond players. Man, I was hyped! It was like hitting the jackpot. Choosing one of those three was tough, but I managed to pick one that really fit my team’s needs.
Other things I Learned Along the Way
- Now & Later Packs: Okay, so I also found out about these “Now & Later” packs. Apparently, you can earn these by playing through different modes like Ranked and the Season 4 XP Reward Path. You can get up to 12 of them, and they said there’s gonna be more in future updates. So that’s something to keep an eye out for.
- Opening Equipment Packs: And get this, I finally figured out how to open those pesky equipment packs. It’s actually pretty simple. You just go to your ‘My Inventory’ tab, then click on ‘Packs’, and you’ll see all your unopened packs there. Just pick the one you want and open it up. Easy peasy, like they say. I felt pretty dumb for not figuring that out sooner.
All in all, messing with these Alter Ego packs in MLB The Show 23 was a wild ride. From figuring out where to find them to the excitement of pulling some awesome players, it was an experience, to say the least. If you’re playing MLB The Show 23, definitely check out these packs. They can really take your team to the next level. Peace out for now, and happy gaming!
