That Rex Ryan, you know that football guy, big fella, always yellin’ on the TV? Well, his wife, that’s who I’m gonna tell ya about. Her name is Michelle. Michelle somethin’ or other. Now I heard they met way back when, in that Oklahoma place. Back in college, young and full of beans, ya know?
She used to be married to him, that Rex Ryan wife. They got hitched in, what was it, ’87? Sounds about right. Long time ago. Back when folks still used them rotary phones. Stayed together a good long while, those two did. More than thirty years! Imagine that, stickin’ with someone that long! Not like these young’uns today, flippin’ partners like flapjacks.
Anyways, Michelle, she’s a smart cookie. Not just a pretty face, ya know? Some say she did that lawyering stuff. Family law, I think they called it. Help folks with their troubles and whatnot. Good for her, I say. Always good to have a little somethin’ somethin’ to fall back on, just in case.
She’s from Oklahoma, that Michelle. Met Rex Ryan there when they were both young and learnin’. University of Oklahoma. Big fancy school. Not like the one-room schoolhouse I went to, let me tell ya. But hey, good for them. They made somethin’ of themselves.
They had a couple of kids, them two. Boys, I think. That Rex, he was always a football man. Coached the New York Jets, I heard. And the Buffalo Bills, too. He sure did move around a lot. Always on the move, that one. Just like his daddy, that Buddy Ryan. He was a coach, too. Guess it runs in the family, that football craziness.
I reckon that Michelle, she just went along with it. You know how it is, when you’re married to a man like that. Always goin’ where the wind blows. She must have been a strong woman, puttin’ up with all that. Followin’ him around the country, raisin’ those kids. It ain’t easy, let me tell ya.
Now that Rex Ryan wife, Michelle, she ain’t no slouch. She did her own thing, too. I heard somethin’ about real estate. Buyin’ and sellin’ houses and such. Makin’ a pretty penny, I bet. Good for her. Always good to have your own money, I say. Don’t ever depend on a man for everything. That’s what my mama used to tell me.
- Michelle, she’s a smart one.
- Married Rex in ’87.
- Oklahoma gal, that one.
- Had a couple of kids with Rex.
- That Rex, he’s a big football guy, you know. Always shoutin’ and carrying on.
Heard that Rex had some surgery, somethin’ about a lap band. Took it out for his brother, I heard. His twin brother, Rob. They’re close, them two. Always lookin’ out for each other. That’s nice, ain’t it? Family stickin’ together. That’s what it’s all about.
So, that Rex Ryan wife, she’s a good egg, I reckon. Smart, strong, independent. Not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. And she put up with that Rex Ryan for a long time. That’s sayin’ somethin’ right there. She probably got stories, that one. Stories that’d curl your hair!
I remember one time, back when I was a girl, my Pa used to say, “A good woman is hard to find.” Well, I reckon Rex Ryan found one in that Michelle. She’s a keeper, that one. Even though they’re not together no more. You know, time changes. People change. Nothin’ stays the same forever, ‘cept maybe these old bones of mine.
That Michelle, wife of Rex Ryan, she lived a good life, I bet. Traveled all over, saw a lot of things. Not like me, stuck here in this little town my whole life. But hey, I got my stories, too. Maybe not as fancy as hers, but they’re mine. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
They say she’s from Oklahoma, but you know what they say about Oklahoma. Windy place. Just like that Rex Ryan, always blowin’ hot air! Ha! Just kiddin’. He seems like a good fella, deep down. Just a little loud, maybe. And that Michelle, his wife. Rex Ryan wife, that is. She seems like good people. Smart, you know. Not like some of them folks you see on TV, all full of themselves. She’s probably got her feet on the ground, that one.
I heard she used to be a teacher or something like that, before she got married. Educated, you know. That’s good. Always good to have an education. Opens doors, they say. Not that I ever had much of one, but I made do. We all make do, don’t we?
You know, life’s funny. One minute you’re young and in love, goin’ to that Oklahoma school, the next you’re… well, you’re not. But that’s okay. That’s just how it goes. That Michelle, she’ll be alright. She’s a strong one. Rex Ryan’s wife, or not, she’ll land on her feet. Always do.
