Okay, so I gotta tell you all about my little project with the Colts mascot, you know, Blue. I’ve always been a huge Colts fan, and Blue, well, he’s just the best. So, I had this crazy idea to do something with rainbows and our beloved mascot, just kind of mixing things up a bit.
First thing I did was just brainstorm. I mean, where do you even start with something like this? I spent a good few days just jotting down ideas, watching old videos of Blue’s antics, and scrolling through tons of photos online. There’s so much out there about him! Did you know the guy who plays Blue, Trey Mock, has been doing it for 19 seasons? That’s some serious dedication right there. And Blue was the Social Media of the Year! I had no idea he was so popular.
Anyways, I eventually decided I wanted to create a bunch of digital images. It’s something I enjoy, and I have the tools for it.
After I decided what I wanted to do I started gathering all the photos and videos of Blue I could find. It’s not exactly hard, the guy’s everywhere! I even found out his “place of birth” is Jockey, Indiana. How funny is that?
The next step, which took a good chunk of time, was actually making those images and videos. I experimented with a bunch of different video editing apps on my phone and a bunch of image editing stuff on my computer, trying to get that perfect rainbow effect that I had in my head. It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you. It’s not easy to make something look cool and rainbowy but not too weird, you know? I even played around with adding rainbow effects to his “00” jersey, which was a fun little challenge.
Finally, after days of working on it, I had a collection of images and videos that I was actually pretty happy with. They were bright, colorful, and captured Blue’s fun personality, which was my main goal.
Here’s what I ended up doing:
- Created 5 images of Blue with rainbow effects added, all in different poses and settings.
- Made a short video montage of Blue’s best moments, with a rainbow color overlay and some upbeat music.
It might not sound like much, but it was a really fun project. It’s always cool to combine your hobbies and passions, right? Plus, now I have a bunch of unique Blue content to share with my friends, who are also huge Colts fans. Maybe I’ll even try to get Blue himself to see them, who knows! Long live the Colts, and long live Blue!
