Okay, so today’s project was a McCaffrey tattoo. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, you know, wanting to get something that really means something to me, and as a huge football fan, McCaffrey has always been an inspiration.
So, I started by looking up tattoo shops in my area. I wanted to find a place with good reviews, artists who are skilled, and a clean, professional environment. After reading a bunch of reviews and looking at portfolios, I found this one spot that seemed pretty promising.
Next, I scheduled a consultation. I wanted to talk to an artist about my idea, get their input, and see if they were comfortable doing the design. I showed them some reference images, mostly action shots of McCaffrey, and explained what I was going for. The artist I met with, a guy called Mark, was super chill and seemed to get it right away.
- Discussed placement options. We talked about the arm, the leg, and even the back.
- Settled on the upper arm, bicep area. It seemed like a good spot, not too flashy, but still visible.
- Talked about size and detail. I wanted something pretty detailed, but not huge, I didn’t want to go to extreme.
After the consultation, I booked the actual appointment. It was a few weeks out, which gave me some time to think things over and make sure I was 100% sure about the design. That’s always a good thing with tattoos, right? Never rush it.
On the day of the appointment, I arrived at the shop a bit early. Filled out some paperwork, the usual stuff. Then, Mark prepped the area, cleaning it and everything. We reviewed the design one last time, and he got to work.
The actual tattooing process, well, it stung a bit, but it wasn’t unbearable. We took a couple of short breaks, and Mark was really good about checking in to see how I was doing. I tried to just focus on the end result. In the middle of the process, it looks a little bit messy.
The Big Reveal
After a few hours, it was finally done. Mark cleaned it up, wrapped it, and gave me aftercare instructions. And there it was, my McCaffrey tattoo. It looked even better than I had imagined. The detail was amazing, it really captured his intensity and athleticism.
I’m still in the healing process now, making sure to keep it clean and moisturized. It’s a bit itchy, but that’s normal. Overall, I’m super stoked with how it turned out. It’s a permanent reminder of a player I admire, and a pretty cool piece of art, if I do say so myself. It was quite an experience.
Hope my sharing is helpful to you, see you next time!
