Man, I gotta tell you about this golfer, Matthieu Pavon. I’ve been digging into what’s in his golf bag, and let me tell you, it’s pretty interesting stuff. So I went ahead and jotted down all the gear he’s using. I thought I’d share my notes with you all here.
First off, I noticed he’s been playing with the Ping G430 Max driver. It’s got a 9-degree loft, which seems to work for him. I saw that he pairs it with a Fujikura Ventus TR Black 6 X shaft. I looked around, and it seems like a popular choice.
Using Ping All the Way
As I kept digging, I found out that pretty much everything in his bag is from Ping. Seems like he’s a loyal guy! He uses Ping clubs for everything. I guess if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
Winning Gear
Then, I got curious about his wins. This guy, Pavon, he’s been on the DP World Tour for a while. And guess what? It took him 185 tries, but he finally won the 2023 Open De Espana in Madrid. I bet that felt good! And he just won the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. That’s a big deal!
I also took a peek at his putter. It’s a Ping Cadence TR Tomcat. It’s a center-shafted, mid-mallet style. Looks like Ping made this one back in 2015, so it’s got some history to it.
Here’s what I gathered about what’s in his bag:
- Driver: Ping G430 Max (9 degrees), with a Fujikura Ventus TR Black 6 X shaft.
- Putter: Ping Cadence TR Tomcat.
So, yeah, that’s what I’ve found out about Matthieu Pavon’s golf gear. He likes his Pings, and it seems to be working out pretty well for him. I love doing these kinds of deep dives. Hope you found it interesting, too!
