Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Marvel Snap lately, and like everyone else, I got obsessed with climbing the ranks. Naturally, that led me down the rabbit hole of tier lists. I mean, who doesn’t want to know the “best” decks, right?

So, first, I started by just Googling “marvel snap tier list”. Boy, did that open a can of worms! There are, like, a million different sites, each with its own opinion. Some were clearly outdated, some were super clickbaity, and some were just…weird.
I spent a good few hours sifting through it all. I quickly realized that just picking a random list and running with it was a recipe for disaster. I needed a smarter approach.
My next step was to compare a few different sources. I tried to find some of the bigger, more reputable sites. The idea was to see if there were any consistent trends. You know, like, were certain cards or decks showing up at the top across multiple lists?
This helped a lot. I started noticing patterns. Like, certain cards like America Chavez, and certain archetypes like destroy decks, were frequently appearing in the higher tiers. This gave me a much better starting point.
Finding My Deck
Once I had a general idea of the “meta,” I needed to figure out what I wanted to play. See, just because a deck is top tier doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. Gotta find something that suits your playstyle, and, importantly, something you actually have the cards for!

I started experimenting. I’d grab a deck that looked interesting from one of the tier lists, tweak it a bit based on my collection, and then take it for a spin. Some decks clicked immediately. Others…not so much. It was a lot of trial and error.
- First Attempt: A destroy deck. I love the destroy mechanic, this one went pretty well.
- Second Attempt: Some high-power, ongoing effect. Not so great for me.
- Third Attempt: a discard deck. I am still working on this.
It was a grind, for sure. Lots of frustrating losses, but also some really satisfying wins. The biggest thing I learned? Tier lists are a guide, not the bible. They can point you in the right direction, but you gotta put in the work to find what actually works for you. And honestly, that’s part of the fun!
Finally, I think I am getting better with more practice. I feel the sense of achievement.
