Okay, so today I decided to dive into the Mariners vs. Astros game and see if I could figure out who’s likely to win. It’s always a toss-up with these two, so I wanted to do some digging.

First Steps: Checking Recent Performance
First thing I did was pull up the recent game history for both teams. I wanted to see how they’ve been performing lately, not just overall. You know, are they on a hot streak or in a slump?
- Mariners: I checked their last 10 games. Wins, losses, scores – the whole shebang.
- Astros: Did the same for them, looking for any patterns or trends.
This gave me a decent starting point – a general feel for their current form.
Next: Head-to-Head Matchups
After getting a sense of their recent games, I wanted to see how they’ve fared against each other this season. Sometimes a team just has another team’s number, you know?
I looked up their previous matchups this year. Who won? By how much? Were the games close or blowouts? This can tell you a lot about the team dynamics.
Diving Deeper: Pitching Matchups
Baseball is hugely influenced by pitching, so this was my next stop. I needed to find out who’s likely to be on the mound for both teams.

- Starting Pitchers: I looked at the probable starters and their stats. ERA, strikeouts, walks – all that good stuff.
- Bullpens: Even if the starters are evenly matched, the bullpen can make or break a game. So, I checked out how each team’s relief pitchers have been doing.
Looking at Hitting Stats
Of Course the Offense can’t be ignored.
- Checked what were the teams hitting stats.
- Who are the top players on Offence.
This should be considered to finally decide on my predictions
The Verdict (My Prediction)
After all that digging, I compared my notes. I looked for any significant advantages – a much stronger starting pitcher, a team crushing it at the plate, or a history of dominating the other team.
Based on my analysis (which, let’s be honest, is just my educated guess), I leaned towards one team. It wasn’t a slam dunk, but the evidence pointed me in a particular direction. I think the Astros, the data I’ve check just favors them more!
Important Note: Remember, this is just for fun! Sports are unpredictable, and that’s what makes them exciting. Don’t bet your life savings based on my little experiment, haha.
