Alright, so folks kept asking how I managed to stack up 240 Spoils so quick in Destiny 2. It wasn’t magic, just a bit of grind and finding the right groove. Lemme walk you through how I got it done.

Finding the Sweet Spot
First off, I needed a plan. Just running random raids wasn’t cutting it for speed. I heard folks talking about farming specific raid encounters over and over. The key was finding one that was fast, easy to repeat, and dropped spoils every single time on repeat runs.
After trying a couple of spots, I settled on the Templar fight in the Vault of Glass. Yeah, I know, it’s an old one, but hear me out. It felt like the most reliable way for me and the teams I joined.
Getting the Team and the Rhythm
So, I jumped into the LFG (Looking for Group) posts. You gotta be specific. I looked for posts like “Templar farm, know what to do” or started my own. It took a few tries to find a solid group. Some teams just didn’t click, you know? People lagging, not knowing the strategy, whatever.
Once I found a decent team, the process looked something like this:
- Load into the raid at the Templar checkpoint. One person needs to have this checkpoint saved.
- Everyone knew their role. We had one person grab the relic fast.
- The rest of us just hammered the Templar. We used whatever hit hard – rockets, linear fusions, you name it. Didn’t need super fancy stuff, just needed to pour on the damage.
- Relic guy blocked the teleports. This was kinda crucial.
- Boss melted pretty quick, usually in one go.
- Grabbed the chest, got those 5 spoils.
The Rinse and Repeat Cycle
Here’s the important part for farming: the checkpoint swap.

After we beat the Templar and got our spoils, the person who didn’t have the checkpoint originally would leave the fireteam, switch characters, and rejoin using the fireteam code or an invite. Then, the original checkpoint holder would leave, switch to another character (one they didn’t mind losing the checkpoint on), and rejoin. This loaded everyone back before the Templar fight, ready to go again, but everyone still got their spoils from the last run.
We just did this over and over. Load in, melt boss, collect spoils, swap character to preserve checkpoint, load back in. It sounds tedious, and yeah, it kinda was after a while. But man, it was fast.
Hitting the Cap
Each run, once we got smooth, took maybe 5 minutes total? Including the loading and character swapping. Sometimes faster if everyone was really on point. Five spoils every 5 minutes or so… you do the math. It adds up quick.
Before I knew it, maybe after a few solid hours of this grind with a good team, I looked down and saw I was capped at 240 spoils. Felt good, honestly. Like putting in the work and seeing the result right there.
So yeah, that’s how I did it. No secret sauce, just found an efficient farm spot (Templar worked for me), got a decent team together through LFG, and stuck with the rinse-and-repeat process with checkpoint swapping. It takes a bit of patience, but it’s probably the fastest way I’ve found to hit that spoil cap.
