So, I actually went out to see Hannah Berner the other night here in Cincinnati. Heard she was coming to town and thought, why not? Always found her pretty funny on podcasts and stuff, figured it’d be a good time.

Getting Ready for It
Getting tickets wasn’t too bad, actually. Just hopped online when they went on sale, grabbed one pretty easily. Finding the venue was simple enough, it’s a spot I’ve been to before downtown. Decided to drive down there a bit early, you know how parking can be sometimes. Didn’t want to be rushing last minute. Found a spot in a garage nearby, maybe a five-minute walk, which worked out great.
The Venue and Vibe
Walked over to the theater. There was definitely a buzz outside. Lots of people milling around, mostly younger crowd, seemed like everyone was pretty excited. Getting inside was smooth, quick check of the ticket and then into the lobby. Grabbed a quick drink, then headed in to find my seat. The place was filling up fast. Found my spot, pretty decent view of the stage. People around seemed friendly, lots of chatter before the show started.
Showtime
An opener came out first, did about 20 minutes. Warmed up the crowd nicely, got some good laughs. Then, after a short break, the lights went down again and Hannah Berner came out. Big cheer from everyone. She definitely has stage presence.
Her set was solid. She talked about a lot of stuff, you know, dating, life in her 30s, internet culture, that kind of thing. Very relatable for a lot of the audience, you could tell by the reactions. Some parts were absolutely hilarious, had me properly laughing out loud.
- Her takes on relationships were pretty spot on.
- She had some funny observations about social media.
- Just generally very energetic on stage.
It felt pretty conversational, almost like she was just chatting with a huge group of friends, which I guess is her style. Didn’t feel overly scripted or anything. The hour or so flew by really fast.

Heading Home
After the show finished, everyone filed out. Still buzzing from the laughs. Walked back to the parking garage, easy enough getting out. Driving home, I was just thinking it was a good way to spend an evening. It’s nice to just go out and laugh sometimes, you know? Breaks up the routine. Definitely glad I decided to go. It was a fun night out in Cincinnati, seeing some live comedy.
