Getting Back into Some Old WWE Stuff
So, I got this itch recently, started thinking about the old WWE days. You know, the really wild stuff from years back. Not the current programming so much, but the classics I grew up watching. Just felt like seeing some of those moments again.

First thing I did was just hop online. Started searching for specific wrestlers and matches I remembered. Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind – those guys. Typed their names into the usual search spots and video sites.
Finding anything wasn’t hard, there’s tons of WWE video out there. But finding the exact bits I had in my head? That was a different story. Lots of fan compilations, highlight reels, top 10 lists… which are okay, but I wanted specific promos, uncut segments, maybe a whole match finish.
It felt like digging through a giant box of tapes. Some stuff was crystal clear, looked great. Other bits were grainy, looked like they were recorded off an old TV screen. Quality was all over the place. And everything was scattered across different platforms, you know?
- Searched on the big video sites.
- Tried some fan forums where people talk about old matches.
- Even looked through some official WWE channel stuff, but they often cut things down.
After finding a few clips I really liked, I got the idea to maybe grab them. Just save them to my computer so I could watch them whenever without searching again. Tried using one of those online downloader tools for a couple of videos. It worked, sort of. Sometimes the download would fail, or the file would be weird. Not exactly smooth sailing.
Trying to Put Clips Together
Then I thought, hey, maybe I can put the best bits together. Just a short video for myself, like a personal highlight reel. Nothing fancy. I wasn’t planning on sharing it, just for my own kick.

Opened up that simple video editing software that’s already on my machine. You know, the basic one. Dragged the video files I managed to grab into it. My goal was simple: just cut out the parts I didn’t want and stick the good moments back-to-back.
Man, even that simple task took way longer than I thought. Getting the cuts just right, making sure the sound lined up okay… it was fiddly. Spent a good chunk of an afternoon just messing with maybe three or four short clips. Realized pretty quickly that proper video editing is a real skill, even for basic stuff.
In the end, I managed to piece together about five minutes of video. It’s rough, you can tell where the cuts are. But it has the moments I wanted to see again, right there in one file. It plays fine on my computer, so mission accomplished, I guess.
Was it worth all that searching and messing around? Yeah, kind of. It was fun seeing that stuff again. But honestly, finding and wrangling specific old WWE video clips takes patience. There’s just so much content, and it’s not always easy to find or work with the exact bits you remember. It’s a real time-sink if you get sucked in.
