Okay, so today I wanna talk about this guy, Kurt Leiter. I’d heard the name before, you know, in passing. Sounds like a baseball guy, right? So, I did a little digging.
First, I hit up Facebook. Typed in “Kurt Leiter” and boom, there’s a profile. This is where it gets interesting. It looks like he’s connected to a bunch of other Leiters, and it seems like a baseball family. The plot thickens, huh?
Then I started looking into his family. Turns out, there’s this Cam Leiter, and guess what? Kurt is his dad. Apparently, Kurt was also a baseball player back in the day. He’s an alum of some place called “Central” and played after Bayville. I’m not exactly sure what those places are, but it sounds important to his story.
Next, I found some newsy stuff. There’s this website, some kind of news show, and they mentioned Kurt Leiter. They were talking about all sorts of current events, you know, the usual news stuff. But the Kurt mention was just a tiny part of a bigger story. It made me wonder, though, why they were talking about him.
Now, this is where I really got into the baseball weeds. This Kurt guy, he’s got brothers, Al and Mark Leiter, also baseball players. And nephews! Mark Leiter Jr. and Jack Leiter. Baseball just runs in their blood, I guess. But get this, Kurt wasn’t a superstar or anything. His minor league record was only 17-36. He wasn’t even drafted! He started out with the 1982 Bluefield Orioles. I don’t know much about that team, but it sounds like the beginning of his journey.
I found out he played college ball too. Oklahoma State. He was a pitcher. After college, he spent three years in the minors with the Baltimore Orioles organization. It’s kinda cool to see where he came from, you know?
Then I stumbled upon some blog, “News and views about philosophy,” it said. “The world’s most popular philosophy blog.” I don’t know about that, but they had a post where they mentioned Kurt Leiter’s name. It wasn’t about him, though. They were talking about someone else, a professor who had passed away. Kinda sad, but it just shows how this Kurt guy’s name pops up in different places.
I spent most of time on one last thing. There’s this music track called “Need to Know” by some artist named Felix Leiter. I thought there might be a connection, you know, same last name and all. I found it on some music site, but I couldn’t figure out if they were related. It was a long shot, I guess.
Here’s the thing:
- Kurt Leiter was a baseball player.
- He’s part of a big baseball family.
- He played college ball and then in the minors.
- His name shows up in random places, like news shows and philosophy blogs.
So, yeah, that’s what I found out about Kurt Leiter. It was a fun little investigation. It’s like, you start with a name, and then you end up all over the place, learning about baseball, families, and even a little bit of music. The internet is a wild place, huh?
