Okay, so I’ve been digging into Klay Thompson’s college days, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip down memory lane! I wanted to see where this sharpshooter got his start, you know?
First off, I started looking up general stuff about his time at Washington State University. It looked like he was a big deal there. The guy played in 33 games during one season and started in almost all of them. That’s some serious playing time. He was a big shot, making it to the All-Pacific-10 Conference First Team, that is a big honor.
Then I tried to get into the nitty-gritty, trying to understand what made him such a key player for the Cougars. It seemed like he was the main guy, the engine of their offense. One article I found straight up said it was both a good and a bad thing. I guess it’s a lot of pressure, right? But it also means he was super important to the team.
After that, I went on a hunt for his actual college stats. I found a whole table laying it all out. It is full of numbers. They had his points, rebounds, assists, all that good stuff. He was scoring a lot, and his shooting percentages were pretty decent. Also, his free throw percentage was off the charts!
- Games Played: He was in almost every game.
- Points: Lots of them.
- Shooting: Pretty darn good.
It was cool to see how he developed over his college years. He was putting up solid numbers, and you could tell he was a major part of the team’s success. This guy’s journey from college to the NBA is a good story. He really worked his way up, you know? He did well in college, that’s for sure.
Anyways, it was a fun little research project. It is always cool to see where these big-time players got their start. You can see the early signs of what made them great. I’ve always liked watching Klay Thompson play in the NBA, and now I have a new appreciation for his game after learning a bit more about his college days.
